These companies may be behind keeping silencers as NFA items and keeping the ATF bureaucratic red tape in place, and keeping the subsequent registry of silencers.
I’ll take the reduction in tax. Incremental steps are better than no steps.
We deserve it, for making excuses to sit out elections, or even vote Democrat sometimes (like for Manchin) - so we get these super-slim majorities where a small number of RINOs have effective veto power over anything substantial.
Exactly!
What the hell is an “AR-style pistol”?
The tax isn’t really the problem. Waiting months or even years in some cases for BAT-Fag approval is.
The tax is part of the problem. And the last time I did a form 4 about 6 months ago, the wait was 4 weeks.
I’d like to see NFA go away completely, but I also dont want poison pills in the ‘big beautiful’ Trump bill, especially if, technically, reconciliation is not allowed for things other than spending.
Incrementalism is fine if thats all we can get TODAY.
Corruption.
This is intereseting. The only way this law works is the taxing power. I thought the NFA was allowed because of the taxing authority. Maybe slow, but the courts may fix this in the long run. Still hold the reps feet to the fire.
"Gun groups charge betrayal by GOP"
FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponent’s Argument
Didn't we have an election a relatively short while ago where Trump-supporting patriots could have supported him with a new, Constitution-respecting Congress?
“Cherish, therefore, the spirit of our people, and keep alive their attention. If once they become inattentive to the public affairs, you and I, and Congress and Assemblies, judges and governors, shall all become wolves [emphasis added]. It seems to be the law of our general nature.” - Thomas Jefferson (Letter to Edward Carrington January 16, 1787)
First step to dealing with Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives at this point in time is to note that the Bureau has no express constitutional authority to exist imo.
Patriots ultimately need to repeal the 17th Amendment, popular voting for federal senators.
The GOP AND the Dems want deaf gun owners.
Facts, the 17th Amendment is the foundation of the uniparty
I admit I am not sure, but if it opens a door to getting rid of it, all the better.
“Some weak Republicans are wavering”
Gee, imagine that, who would have thunk?
It ain’t about tiny steps it’s about big brother having a list of who owns what & &:what politicians ass gets kissed for permission.
A government will not ever tell me how to protect myself from it. With that being said, my children and grandchildren know armed protection is a right that must be defended with your very own life.
Unfortunately, anti-2A laws are a constant in our lives and most people simply shrug and say, “Oh well”!!
The current system already has that list, so any little step away from that is better than nothing.
“It ain’t about tiny steps it’s about big brother having a list of who owns what & &:what politicians ass gets kissed for permission.”
Exactly. Never ever give up your guns!!
