Russian delegation to meet Ukrainian officials in Turkey, but unclear if Putin will attend

Moscow on Wednesday said it would send a delegation to Istanbul to meet with Ukrainian officials, potentially bringing diplomats from the two at-war countries together for the first known in-person direct talks in more than three years.

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov confirmed on Wednesday that Russian diplomats would travel to Turkey, but didn't detail which officials would be present.

The confirmation followed an act of one-upmanship from President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine, who on Wednesday said he would be willing to meet personally with Russian President Vladimir Putin, should the latter decide to travel to Turkey.

"We are ready for such direct diplomacy to put an end to killings and advance real peace," Zelenskyy said on social media "And this must certainly be discussed with the person who makes decisions in Russia."

The administration imposed the measures a week ago to push Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to enter talks to end the war with invading Russian forces.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the U.S. would present the ceasefire offer to the Kremlin.

Heh! It was the same thing with me. Very early in the war, I politely asked a question about where I could see on-the-ground reporting and some zeeper responded in a typical nasty, condescending tone that of course there weren’t on-the-ground reporters; they’d be killed the minute they stepped outside.

This dumbass zeeper clearly didn’t know I’d spent several years in a war zone and could see straight through his bull sh*t. Oh…and it turned out that Newsmax and others had reporters on the ground doing daily stand-ups from the beginning. They still do.

It wasn’t long after that that those people started polluting the forum with excessive Ukrainian and pro-Biden propaganda. The news feed was dominated with their crap all day, every day. I saw them calling anybody who questioned what they posted “Putin puffers,” “Putinistas,” “communists,” and other such stupidity, even though I didn’t see anybody posting in support of Putin.

I finally started asking why it was necessary to post so much Ukrainian propaganda from such questionable and untrustworthy sources. That’s when the yip-yappers turned their venom on me. They hate being questioned and they really hate those of us they can’t intimidate

And, of course, threatening a grifter’s source of income by asking questions makes them extremely angry.
