The lefty New Jersey politicians who stormed a Newark immigration detention center did it for their “15 minutes of fame,” Homeland Security’s spokeswoman railed Monday as the feds weigh criminal charges against them for alleged assault.

Tricia McLaughlin, DHS’s assistant secretary for public affairs, called the stunt last week at the Delaney Hall Detention Center by Democratic US Reps. Robert Menendez Jr., LaMonica McIver and Bonnie Watson Coleman and Newark Mayor Ras Baraka “beyond the pale.”

More charges “could” be coming?
More charges should be coming.

That was obvious from the start. The mayor is running for the 2025 governor’s race. This is an easy way to get name recognition and win the Dem primary.

Charge them all, lock them up or they get their 15 minutes of fame with consequences.

Give them much more than their 15 minutes of fame, but in the stinkiest jail cell available.
