Creating loads of NGOs and “nonprofit” pigs to feed at the grants trough.
All these agencies that dish out grants should be eliminated.
I access the Internet via a cellphone hotspot.
The news sites are the worst bandwidth gobblers.
“Sounds good but I don’t think he has the power to invalidate a passed law.”
Trump needs to work with Congress.
The headline should read, “Trump vows to kill racist DEI program”, but with the HBM (Has Been Media), all stories start with the premise of “Let’s hate Trump”.
I thought adding veteran was strange. The only thing I could think of was some minorities in the program served.
Internet is not a constitutional right. 🙄
It’s nonsense added to play on valid concerns to justify stealing.
I’m a vet, was blown up pretty seriously in Iraq and wake up every day in pain.
I’m concerned about vets and how they’ve been screwed consistently.
As are most good Americans.
Leftists use this valid concern to justify BS spending and programs.
I just happen to know personally they maybe $.001 of each dollar spent “on veterans” does a damn but of good. All the money is gobbled up by bureaucrats and thieves.
And I don’t appreciate how they use me and my fellow vets to steal from taxpayers. So I notice when they try. First thing I look for.
“Trump does something that attacks veterans and minorities”
Glance at source - “MSN”
No need to read any further.
(As if MSN gives two squirts about veterans...)
No ... he was throwing puppies and kittens and fluffy bunny-rabbits into a wood-chipper.
might be this? https://www.fcc.gov/general/universal-service
Never mind it appears the Digital Equity Act is a duplicate program to the universal service fund program
The universal service fund allows Service Providers to pass on the cost to consumers...you could see it in your phone and Broadband provider bills.
The fund had billions in reserve until the advent of the “BUSH”(improperly called OBAMA) phones. And Carol Slim drained the fund and became the richest man in the world, at the time, because of it.
-Connect America Fund (formally known as High-Cost Support) for rural areas: https://www.fcc.gov/general/connect-america-fund-caf
-Lifeline (for low-income consumers), including initiatives to expand phone service for residents of Tribal lands;https://www.fcc.gov/general/lifeline-program-low-income-consumers
-Schools and Libraries (E-rate): https://www.fcc.gov/general/e-rate-schools-libraries-usf-program
-Rural Health Care: https://www.fcc.gov/general/rural-health-care-program
Thank you! Very helpful. Now to check out the links...
Like the various forms of aid to students in colleges, where the aid is sold as “for the students” when it really is a government subsidy to aid the colleges (help them get money for students), the “digital equity” aid is a subsidy to the tech industries to help people subscribe to their stuff.
I’m a senior citizen and a veteran, and no grant to access high-speed internet was ever offered to me!
Oh- wait...I’m white and Republican.

Yet no reports/numbers to show where the money was used. Typical.
