I don't know if people in this state will ever wake up. They all have their morphine drip and they think everything is fine.

” The proposal, filed by Sen. Ram Villivalam (D-Chicago) and Sen. Christopher Belt (D-East St. Louis), calls for starting a pilot program to study the effectiveness of charging drivers by the mile, something the state is considering due to the prevalence of more fuel-efficient and electric vehicles on Illinois roadways.
Since fuel-efficient cars use less gasoline, fewer tax dollars will be available for road infrastructure.”

A lot of the people in Chicago don't drive. A lot of others have enough money that they don't care. The people "downstate" (which includes Rockford, which is actually upstate) are ignored.

3.3 cents per gallon x 12 gallons = 0.24 cents
Really bad math.
3.3 cents per gallon x 12 gallons = 39.6 cents

I’m sure fraud goes on there, but I do t know if it’s even necessary in Chicago. The electorate there seems to have “Democrat” branded on their tiny little brains.

The Ill and Noisy people in this area mostly come across the river and buy their gasoline in Iowa.
Win for them.
Win for Iowa (more revenue)
Lose for Ill. Of course most of their citizens are captive and don’t have that option.

"The annual gas tax increase..."
WTH? Annual increase? Why? As if that's in some way normal? Oh, to hell with Illinois.

Long as you brought up the math, I note that .32 cents is decidedly different from 32 cents. By a factor of 100.
