That judge broke the law.

She didn't break the law. The law has an Undue Hardship clause and that although very few people go to court, 50% of those who do have all or part of their student loan discharged.

In addition, the loans are made in bad faith, which would legitimately allow the borrower to breach the contract. The financial institutions know, the schools know, the government employees know, the politicians know - everyone except the student and their parent/s know. They're selling a lie and they know it.

Agreed. Kids these days want everything handed to them. I worked two part time jobs while attending Junior College AND managed to play two sports too. I’m sick of hearing about all these student loan deals!

Student loans are the second biggest redistribution of income program in the US (second to Obamacare).

Vast amounts of income have been redistributed from dumb 19 year-olds to left-wing college professors and administrators.

Make sure you remind them Joe Biden is the one that made student loan debt non dischargeable in bankruptcy.

“How do you propose to replace that funding source if student loans are forgiven?”

Where in my post did I say a word about loan forgiveness?

“ Submit your responses and they might be published as letters to the editor.”

I sent them a short note:

I paid off my student loan. I paid for my four sons to attend college. They now have no student loan debt and are gainfully employed in professions that more than pay their bills.

If the “change in collections policy” you are referencing is continuing collection of previously agreed upon loans, then it will have no impact on me. If the change means not enforcing these agreements, then I, and my sons, will be involuntarily paying for an unknown person’s loan.

Remember, all loans are paid by someone, either the borrower, the lender, or the taxpayer who provided the original funding.

These parasitic “students” took out the loans. THEY should pay them back.

Websites and places like Youtube can offer a better education then a college if you are not going to be a doctor and mechanic or builder. If an office job then go online and learn what you need to know without spending a fortune.
