Just like the border is secure, the economy is thriving, unemployment is down and job creation is up. As long as they have thier mentally ill idiot army believing everything they throw up they will keep the dumpster fire going

Agreed. California can’t control “wildfires”, either.

When it rose to number 5 way back when, it wasn’t because the California economy grew. But because a south American country had slipped below California in the rankings.

Anyone know how a state’s GDP is calculated?

For example, if a huge international company like Apple or Microsoft is headquartered in California, does California get to include all of that in its GDP number?

Only because of the price of fuel, electricity, real estate, etc. It is all ridiculously expensive. Price that stuff at normal rates and our economy would be closer to 8th.

A large economy isn’t an indicator of a healthy economy..
hence the mass exodus from Cali since 2021

Ooh, just heard that Guv’na of Idaho set out a law demanding forest .......... governance. This includes cleaning up brush that is the source to the spread of ALL wildfires.

If there is no brush, the fire just dies out , even with a wind. Trees have evolved to not spread fire. Some are even fireproof. Some cannot get their seeds to sprout until a fire cleanses the forest floor.

Human inaction is what spreads fire. Deliberate inaction here in CaCaLand.

California is like Canada and Mexico.

They benefit by being adjacent to the U.S.

Otherwise, they’d be very poor third-world/banana republics.

But, I’m all for letting California go its own way and out of the U.S.

Thanks. I tried scan it for clues that might answer my question, but it’s too full of terms that I’d have to learn the precise definitions of.

I decided I’d wind up with more questions than answers.

I’m just going to take the California GDP figure with a grain of salt.. I suspect it is WAY overstated due to inclusion of the activity of a number of huge multinational corporations headquartered there.

California is largely run by slave labor.

Remove their illegals and their economy will completely collapse.
