A man has been arrested in connection with dozens of city-owned trees in Los Angeles that were cut down with a chainsaw over the Easter Holiday weekend.
While law enforcement officials had no leads on April 20, some Angelenos were busy posting photos to Reddit and Instagram of all the felled trees downtown.
In photos, trees were seen in pieces at locations including 1st Street and Wilshire Boulevard, Olympic Boulevard and Hope Street, Olympic Boulevard and Figueroa Street, Broadway and Cesar Chavez Avenue, Grand Avenue in front of the Wells Fargo Center and Grand Avenue and 5th Street.

No worries. The guberment will spend about 200Keach to replace the trees AFTER they do an environmental study.
Agreed, but I doubt a homeless guy is going up and down the street with an extension cord, or has a $300 Milwaukee.
Who knows? Perhaps he does.
That’s pretty common in Ireland, with the gypsy caravans.
The Trees - by Rush
There is unrest in the forest
Trouble with the trees
For the maples want more sunlight
And the oaks ignore their pleas
The trouble with the maples
(And they’re quite convinced they’re right)
They say the oaks are just too lofty
And they grab up all the light
But the oaks can’t help their feelings
If they like the way they’re made
And they wonder why the maples
Can’t be happy in their shade
There is trouble in the forest
And the creatures all have fled
As the maples scream, “Oppression”
And the oaks just shake their heads
So the maples formed a union
And demanded equal rights
They say, “The oaks are just too greedy
We will make them give us light”
Now there’s no more oak oppression
For they passed a noble law
And the trees are all kept equal
By hatchet, axe, and saw
I think you mean the oaks.
I was just listening to Circumstances last night.
Both. It's California. He can walk right in the store and take it since it's valued at less than $950. It's a gift from the politicians, paid for by other customers.
Wait a minute — aren’t 98% of the homeless just hard-working sane geniuses just unemployed and unhoused due to capitalism? It’s just not possible that one of these paragons would saw down trees just for meanness... Cut him up and plant the sprigs; maybe they’ll come up roses.
Homelessness is a virtue in Kalifornia.
They have 40-60-80V chainsaws.
