All awful ideas! Again, the young, married, male conservative think-tank geeks think they should have more disposable income—and so come up with excuses to get privilege and money for simply being married and having kids.

The best idea is to rid grade schools and high schools of the traitorous DEI, feminazi, LGBTQ+ propaganda and propagandists.

Yep, free tuition and year 1-5 day care at private schools. That would get the goat of the teachers unions.

This will not happen until the “nones” return to Christ. When you only live for yourself and for the present, having children is a burden.

Yes. I think it wasn’t really stated here, but I would hope the discussion would be about intact married couple families having children, as opposed to more single mothers having children.

They are importing a replacement class of ‘migrants. Anyone can see that. Why would anyone have kids in that environment unless you had a trust fund or other means.

You have a point. Some young couples don’t have babies because it’s so expensive, and they don’t want to give up their present standard of living to pay for it all.
Better wages and somewhat flexible schedules could encourage some to rethink their decision.

“Hmm..maybe we could afford it, without both of us working 2 jobs each!”

Licensed agencies of trained and vetted Babysitters would help during the occasional Date Night.

Good point, perhaps reward parents who have successfully raised 2 kids for a few years and entice them to have a third or fourth. Reward success.

The US baby boom was caused by the outstanding economics of post wwii. Elitists don't understand that.

The cost of childbirth is absurd. Do something about that.

When my parents passed away, we were cleaning out their things and found a receipt from the hospital for birth of my older sister, in 1955. It was $250 all-in: 7 days in hospital (two-person divided room) including OB-GYN, treatments for jaundice.

Given Dad at the time was about at US average salary, we calculated the cost to be about 4-5% of his income. Seems a reasonable cost to have a child

If that was calculated on today's average salary, the cost would be about $2800-$3000 (which is impossible) - for a lot less in services.

The cost of medical care has most definitely outpaced salaries.

Cut tax rates for families with children. People used to be able to afford having one income families.

The only developed nation above replacement level is Israel, where even the most secular are replacing themselves.

Halt all immigration for 50 years, severely curtail student visas, eliminate H1-B visas.

People will have kids when they know they have a chance to do better than themselves.

“Another would give a $5,000 cash “baby bonus” to every American mother after delivery.”

That’s not really that big an incentive, especially with inflation. And we can’t keep relying on government handouts. People will have more babies when the country is prosperous and families feel more financially secure.

Without forced government intervention society will return to its natural equilibrium.

We need to get the government out of the "marriage business".

Right now, the American women are married to Uncle Sam.

Baby dads are there to pay child support checks. That's it.

Restrict Federal funding to states that have unilateral no-fault divorce. (If both sides want a no-fault divorce, that's different.)

That's the single biggest obstacle to marriage for a lot of men, IMO. Someone who commits adultery against an innocent spouse should not be rewarded for it in divorce court.

Or put another way, salaries have not kept up with real inflation

Israel is an outlier. They're in a unique situation.

End Deep State’s war on the nuclear family.

Tax reform.

Publik skrewl reform.

The cultural changes aren’t up to government.

Those are on us.
