The office of the Dean of Students can certainly set up welcoming meetings for first generation college students and then the Latino students can voluntarily group together and visit. NO DIE office is required!

DEI is racist BS and those who support it are racists.

chipping away at the sense of community that helped open the door to higher education.
still available, on merit, not the color of your skin.

Gee, maybe they will have to rely on talent now instead of color.

I've suffered greatly because of the downfall of monarchy as an approved system of government.
Since the Divine Right of Kings is no longer recognized, I've found it increasingly difficult to exercise my droit du seigneur. I can no longer impregnate village girls willy-nilly.
I am thus being unfairly disadvantaged!
Bring back jus primae noctis!

Would rather have things handed to them than actually work for it

I have been teaching at the college level (not counting TA grad work) since 1987. For every one of those 48 years, not once have I ever made a person of any color or sex unwelcome in my class because of their color or sex. The only students who felt unwelcome would be those who are unable to learn what I was teaching them, material which was rarely difficult.
If I were teaching FT now, however, I would almost certainly be put in a star chamber and forced to recant my supremacy, like Cultural Revolution professors wearing dunce caps, just because I am white, male, and Christian. I’m glad I do not have to live my career through this time.

“We can only be Inclusive by excluding people”. It’s how Title IX can be in effect but there are scholarships that exclude men from getting them which is a blatant violation of Title IX.

As U.S. colleges pull back on diversity, equity and inclusion practices, students of color say they are starting to lose all of these things and more. Aw, poor babies.
College is meant to be another step towards preparing you for The Real World.
Colleges that molly-coddle do you no favors.
