Watch the Absurd Space "Training" Katy Perry, Lauren Sanchez and Friends Did Before Their Space Trip

So Bezos sent his girl friend and her pals to the edge of space, and since most of her pals were in the media and are Musk haters, they proceeded to milk this irrelevant trip for as much publicity as they can.
Much more publicity than when Musk's SpaceX went and rescued the two astronauts who'd been stuck in orbit for 9 months.
This stunt by Bezos is totally laughable.
They kept talking about the “training” these tarts got.
Know what the “training” was?
Learning how to get into and out of the capsule, how to put on their seat belts, getting into their outfits and using the walkie talkie.
How long did the training take?
All of 2 days.
Chuckle.
Worth watching the video.
You'll love it and have a laugh.

Funniest part was Katy Perry kissing the ground after her few minutes “space” trip.
What drama.

Did the training include applying mascara and false eyelashes in zero G?

All of them looking up at the big blue space phallus was hilarious. It was like a skit.

The MSM really blew this up and down trip in a rocket out of proportion.

They kept calling everyone on board “the crew”. Um, when I am a passenger on a plane does that automatically make me part of the crew?

It was ridiculous how hyped this was compared to the amazing rescue of the stranded astronauts earlier this month, which the MSM ignored.

I heard that The Oprah cried when the craft landed. (rolling my eyes)

I’m a woman and I thought the whole “boss girl in outer space” hype was vomit inducing.

It’s still a suborbital flight past the Karman line that returned its passengers safe and sound. Even Boeing hasn’t completely mastered that yet. If Bezos can make a suborbital Mercury-type mission with a reusable booster and capsule(?) look trivial, I think it speaks extremely well of the Blue Origin program. JM.02

…They’re not to Space X’s level, for certain. But they are striving. And running a safe program is a great position to be in in the spaceflight business.

I saw some of the launch coverage today. I agree, the hype was over-the-top. But…it was still a space launch and there was a chance it could have ended in disaster and tragedy. Bezos has ridden in his own rocket, so he has shared that risk.

Maybe nothing was gained for science. But the Blue Origin team have another safe launch, separation, safe recovery, and successful booster landing under their belt which bodes very well overall for the program.

“It’s still a suborbital flight past the Karman line that returned its passengers safe and sound. “

64 years ago Alan Shepard did that.

“Even Boeing hasn’t completely mastered that yet.”

Boeing doesn’t build rocket ships.

Whatever. It’s not something just anyone can do even in 2025. The campaign to dismiss it is up there with the hype that promoted it.

“Whatever. It’s not something just anyone can do even in 2025. “

The X-15 went higher in 1962.

A private company went higher in 2004 making TWO successful launches with 14 days.

It’s a high cost carnival ride at this point. No science. No satellite delivery. No orbital achievement. It is model rocketry to the extreme.

This! I told my colleague at work today that Bezos is selling 12 minute carnival rides and shorting the customers 2 minutes. Musk is solving the big questions of science and technology.
