Trust me, I’m a doctor” is a humorous expression that suggests one’s opinion should be accepted without question, regardless of whether the person offering the opinion has actual medical expertise or experience.
The assumption is that physicians are knowledgeable, competent, and trustworthy. At one time, few would have questioned that assumption.

Not sure I’m ready for that, but based on my recent experience I can do as well online as I do trying to talk to a doctor. I can do quick ECGs, O2 and BP readings with my own personal electronics. If I could do X-rays and write prescriptions, Old be good.

At least I was fortunate to have women who earned their way into medical school by merit and not by liberal guilt trips...but the pattern needs to be looked at...
I appreciate a medical professional stating this fact so succinctly, plainly, and descriptively.
80 years in Florida, my latest doctor in Cardiology is 73.
