Quick summary of the main points 👇
1) The tariffs were expected and planned for
They write that "although international markets generally consider the US tariff abuse to be beyond expectations, the CPC Central Committee has anticipated this new round of US economic and trade suppression against China, fully estimated its potential impact, and prepared adequate response plans with sufficient lead time and margin."
They add that "last year's Central Economic Work Conference made comprehensive arrangements for responding to the new round of US containment and suppression against China."
2) Impact will be limited - "the sky won't fall"

They will never tell the people the truth because the truth will be used against them and then they will have to kill you
Wanna see a mandarin duck? Throw a tariff at him.
Nice thing about being a totalitarian country is a leader can sprew BS and no one is going to disagree, object or point out flaws in logic.
Nice thing about being a totalitarian country is a leader can sprew BS and no one is going to disagree, object or point out flaws in logic. That said, I hope China’s OK and that they’ll understand someday about things like ‘being fair’...
Could a person find a clearer statement of:
The State Knows all Sees All has infinite wisdom and plans for all.
What a crock. We should see results in a year.
The now official Communist Chinese Party Line on the tariffs:
1) The tariffs were expected and planned for
2) Impact will be limited - “the sky won’t fall”
...for 3 main reasons...
1) China has successfully reduced US market dependence
2) Many US product categories have high dependency on Chinese imports
3) even if (Chinese) companies couldn’t export at all, most can fall back on domestic sales.
3) This is a strategic opportunity for China
...it justifies China’s current transition to its new development model...
...Secondly, it helps China boost its technological self-reliance...
...Thirdly, it positions China as “a responsible great power” in contrast with the US...
Lastly, the tariffs provide additional motivation to “treat expanding domestic demand as a long-term strategy,” with specific emphasis on making consumption the “main driver and ballast of economic growth.”
So I guess the bottom line is that the Communist Government will embark on another wild money printing spree (i.e. “stimulus program”), like they always do.
A lot of this happy talk is just some empty hope to feed to their people, and a fig leaf to hide the leadership’s nakedness in the face of this wrenching realignment. They are still extremely overdependent on exporting manufactured products, and this is going to rapidly accelerate the ongoing exodus of manufacturing out of China.
They talk about the changes of the last few years (the exodus of foreign investors and factories since the COVID shock), as if it was a grand strategy they were driving, when in truth, they were doing everything they could to slow/halt/reverse it. China is the big loser from President Trump’s tariffs.
Yeah OK. If there is a bigger bunch of liars than our own communist democrats, it would be their partners in commie China.
What did the Peking duck say to the bartender after ordering drinks for the house?
Put it on my bill.
Tastes like cat.
Nine hundred million Chinese walk into a bar. They all order a beer, pay up and just sit there sipping their drinks, not saying a word.
Finally the bartender can’t stand it anymore and says “We don’t see many Chinese in here,”
All nine hundred million reply, “And with this atmosphere of hedonistic individualism and running dog capitalism exploiting the labor of the masses and wasting the people’s agricultural resources, you won’t see many more.”
bookmark
“you won’t see many more.”

Interestingly, the current Chinese population is estimated after latest round of covid to be 700-800 million - major cites, small cities, rural towns are all but deserted.
