This judge has no authority over President Trump.
Yeah, we’ll get right on that. Lawfare dumbassery! Ignore, carry on.
Tell the judge to “order” the President of El Salvador to return him. I mean, clearly there’s no limit to judicial power.
“Yeah, we’ll get right on that. Lawfare dumbassery! Ignore, carry on.”
Yep, what can the judge do if the admin ignores the order?!
#1 - It wasn’t an error.
#2 - GFY
Well said. Concise and to the point - especially #2.
“the Maryland man”
He’s not from Maryland. He just happened to be hiding out there.
Gee Congre$$, I hope all this judicial overreach doesn’t interfere with your spring break.
Let’s do a swap.
This guy was sent there in violation of an order. While I guess no one can force El Salvador to turn him back over, he US should try to get him back, judge’s order or no.
No. Still an illegal
He’s an illegal alien first and foremost.
He can be deported first and has.
Next.
You know, I think the judge may have an opportunity to right a wrong here.
Pick the guy up from El Salvador and transport him back to Houston.
Let’s say when they land, tragically he escaped his restraints and jumped out of the helicopter into The Gulf of America...
Being an illegal alien effective noon January 20 2025 has had consequences,.
‘ This is the man who couldn’t prove he wasn’t part of the notorious MS-13 gang.’
The government must prove guilt. People don’t have to prove their innocence.
That got me too. If he was deported in error, he should be returned. But we also should verify his immigration status.
Was he in the country illegally to begin with?
What if El Salvador doesn’t want to give him up?
So now Judges are ordering foreign governments to do things?
Judge Xinis is of course an Obama appointee. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paula_Xinis
If it's a mistake for real - if a legal US visitor or resident got caught in a sweep and is in some hellish prison through mistaken identity, then, yes, I think we should ask El Salvador to send him back and compensate El Salvador for their troubles.
But if he does not have legal authority to be here, and the "mistake" is sending him to a place for gang members when he isn't one - well, sucks to be him but you can't make an omlet without breaking eggs and "mistakes" like that can encourager les autres to hit the road before it happens to them.
