NASA says Trump is responsible for stranded astronaut saga ending: 'It would not have happened'

NASA is crediting President Donald Trump for spearheading the mission to bring back its stranded astronauts.

Bethany Stevens, a spokeswoman for the agency, spoke glowingly about the new administration's role.

'It would not have happened without President Trump's intervention,' she told Fox News Digital, adding that it was a 'huge win for the Trump administration.'

The extended space mission entered the political spotlight in January, when Trump said he told Elon Musk to 'go get' the astronauts who had been 'virtually abandoned' by the Biden administration.

Musk echoed this statement, and in February, the two of them doubled down on their claims by blaming the astronauts' delayed return on 'political reasons.'

Sunita Williams and Barry Wilmore were only supposed to be on the ISS for eight days, but ended up staying for more than nine months due to technical issues with their spacecraft, Boeing's Starliner.

Williams and Wilmore finally returned to Earth on March 18, splashing down off the coast of Tallahassee, Florida inside the SpaceX Crew-9 Dragon capsule.

I laughed out loud when I saw dolphins playing right around the capsule. That joyous visual must have made liberal heads explode.

But-but-but Sen. Mark Kelly’s twin brother told Bret Baier the astronauts could’ve come home at any time, they were never stranded.

NASA must learn from this. Don’t send human beings ‘up there’ w/o a solid plan to bring them back, preferable alive and functioning normally.

**UNLESS sacrificing the ‘occupant’ on a One Way voyage is an expected and accepted outcome from the very beginning. I wouldn’t even do that to a white rabbit or lab mouse.

BS. That spare capsule is for emergencies. Using it would have meant abandoning the ISS entirely.

They’d probably be up there another 4 years if Kackles was president now.

Like so many things in modern America a normal person would look at how they stayed stranded, weeks into months, into month after month, after month, and wonder if this was just the way things are now, they remain stranded in space until what, forever?, until they die, with no particular national focus or solutions or what, is this now just another thing that happens to America and we just say ‘well, what can you do, we can’t fix everything’?

I would have asked idiot, if he thinks the astronauts could just step out the door, and float back to earth?

Maybe he saw the same GI Joe episode where a few of the guys parachuted to earth from space and miraculously landed near their headquarters?

Maybe they could put on their iron man suits, and come back to earth that way. Are we dealing with idiots or what?

Yep, they had a “ride home anytime” lying POS. Another azhole astronaut said similar on Will Cain. NASA is as woke as any agency we have.

Both Cain and Baier just let it slide. Was screaming at the TV, scared the dogs.
