My money is on this being more saber rattling before Trump and Pezeshkian start talking turkey. Regardless, Putin wouldn’t allow S300s to be stationed there to protect them for fear of ruining his relationship with Trump.
Or maybe I’m just whistling past the graveyard.

Iran is playing to their home crowd. They won’t do anything directly.

Maybe they’ll put too many systems on the islands causing them to cap-size.

“ installing its missile systems on the three disputed islands near the Strait of Hormuz. “
Isn’t that special.

If push comes to shove, never doubt the Iranian ability to block the straight.

I remember a saying from decades ago that has a nice, nostalgic sound to me now. I saw it on T-shirts, back in the day:
"Nuke Iran."
I don't know why that came into my head.

The word is “strait”. And the last time Iran tried that they lost 2/3 of their navy in less than an afternoon.

That would kill millions of Iranian civilians and result in retaliatory strikes that would kill tens of thousands of American troops and destroy Israel. This, times 20+ would happen to Tel Aviv and Dimona. The U.S. can’t stop those missiles in Ukraine. The Israelis couldn’t stop them when Iran was pummeling Nevatim.
“ The moment Iranian missiles fell on the Nevatim air base in the Negev.”

It wouldn’t matter if the entire Iranian navy was sunk. I’ll remind you that it wasn’t the Yemeni Navy that shut down the Red Sea. I’ll also remind you of the aborted Israeli attack on Iran after Russian S400s locked onto Israel’s attacking stealth assets. That failed Israeli attack was supposed to be in retaliation for the massive Iranian attack on Israel’s second most protected site at Nevatim (see below).
Israel hasn’t sent its air force to Iran since. Please, buy the facts, not the narrative.

I remember back then very crude t-shirts “f*ck Iran” with Uncle Sam double middle fingers. America was pissed. Iran is more powerful and obnoxious as ever but America today isn’t the same.

Pres. Trump uses hyperbole often, but I don’t think this is one of those times.
Houthis and Iranians should take care.

I do believe the Strait of Hormuz is 33 miles wide. The Yemen one is 14. We could mine Irans harbors. Should the entire navy be taken out? I’d give them a choice(vote). What would Irans’ navy think?
The entire navy in one day would keep them busy wondering why they wanted to fight so bad.
