If you use your gun to kill the attacker, fighting is unnecessary. Dead men can’t fight.
FBI is supposed to be the premiere investigating agency re federal government matters.
How are those Epstein files coming. Hmmmm. And we still have no idea what those drones were doing in NJ. Come on Fbi— stop it with the same old sh&$ I’ve had to put up my whole life.
If Kash were to try to implement such a program, you can bet that the sissified Woke agents would hate it.
Why hasn’t the FBI been purged yet? The department is filled with Obama/Holder moles. Come on. Let’s go.
So what’s the problem?
Not always that simple. Bad guys don't always announce their evil intentions with enough lead time to draw and shoot. Also mechanical devices can and do fail. As others have said, "The loudest sound in the world is the click of a malfunctioning firearm when you really need it." Mr. Critter with a knife or bare fists isn't gonna wait while you diagnose and correct (if possible) the malfunction.
Listened to Bongino’s last podcast yesterday, he often spoke of martial arts over the years, no doubt he’ll pick up some of the flack that Kash Patel just doesn’t have time for, this is a good example.
We’ve all seen the pics with Dan and the SS protecting Hussein, Cankles, the chunky slobs protecting President Trump (campaign) who can’t holster a gun, and others. Fair to stay these things will be a priority at the FBI.
You have to be tough to roust families out of bed at 5am at gunpoint. Especially those pregnant women.
In the real world, the popularity of MMA makes its moves common to how suspects now try to resist. If FBI field agents do not know MMA, they are at a disadvantage.
Some times law enforcement needs to deal with violent offenders they don’t want to kill, such as potential witnesses for example, or someone on a mental break.
reminds me of the Indiana jones scene, Indiana squares off with a sword wielding arab while he holds a whip in his hand disgusted he pulls out his gun and shoots him dead
“If you use your gun to kill the attacker, fighting is unnecessary. Dead men can’t fight.”
The mind and the body are one system. You train one and you’re training the other. In college I took karate and Judo. It was as mind-expanding as learning a new language or learning to play a musical instrument. It was learning discipline, and I began to recognize fighters from a distance. They tend to walk on the balls of their feet, with careful and graceful movements. I could tell from muscle development what sort of fighter they might be.
My mother said, “Nothing you invest in learning is ever wasted.”
wait, The FBI doesn’t *already* train in combatives? I would have thought that was standard for field agents.
damn people...how difficult is it to reason that training in martial arts leads to agents better trained to handle the stress of any confrontation without the first thought being “Draw And Fire” out of fear, hate or machismo ? how often are innocent people shot dead because a law officer can’t keep their head? no one should die in a confrontation with the fbi before their time simply because “shoot first” is the mindset. just my 2 because been in that situation just because “innocent at the wrong place and time” IS a thing and real thankful it wasn’t one of THOSE types pointing that gun at me.
In an ideal world the more hand to hand training the better, especially for the military and for cops, but it takes money and time.
The military wrestles with this question, training time is limited, in the military hand to hand comes and goes from era to era.
Cops need to learn basic grappling and some last ditch moves but I don’t think the FBI does many grappling arrests like cops do and the military has been doing during these years of arresting/searching people in their homes and villages rather than just killing them.
The FBI should have a tiny amount of the basics for practical reasons like gun retention, and as a confidence builder, and to introduce the delicate people and pudgy ladies to the concept of fighting so that some will sign up for civilian training on their own, which should be encouraged.
Martial arts should be far down the list of educational requirements at the FBI.
