In 2016 it was brought to a lot of people’s attention that there’s a slush fund to handle the “indiscretions” of members of Congress. I’d very much like to see the names of the people who made use of those funds.
A typo. It meant to say βsecret philanderer fundβ.
This $17 million figure is frequently mentioned. It refers to only one source of hush money during a limited time period. The total amount paid to keep people quiet is considerably larger.
