The House of Representatives voted today to censure Rep. Al Green (D-TX) for his stupid stunt during President Trump’s joint address to Congress on Tuesday.
The vote was 224-198. Every Republican voted yes, while 10 Democrats surprisingly also voted to censure.

Following the vote, Democrats started singing “We Shall Overcome” on the House floor as if the party needed further embarrassment.

The House voted yesterday afternoon to move forward with the censuring of Green after the House Sergeant at Arms escorted him out over his refusal to follow decorum during Trump’s speech. The vote was 211-209.
As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, Speaker Mike Johnson intervened during Trump’s congressional speech to remove Representative Al Green (D-TX) following an outburst that interrupted President Donald Trump’s address.
The incident occurred as President Trump was outlining his administration’s achievements and future plans, a moment intended to inform and unify the nation.
After being warned, the reckless Green brazenly persisted in disrupting Trump’s address with his shameless antics.
This outrageous violation of decorum forced Speaker Johnson to take decisive action, ordering the Sergeant-at-Arms to remove Green from the chamber like the disgrace he is.
Green had previously announced the articles of impeachment against Trump for supposed “dastardly deeds.” He doubled down after getting booted from the chamber.
p
ok so what does that mean? He still gets to vote on stuff and he’s still a member of the House?
He’s off the committees any he was on I think. So his ability to do anything in Washington is really diminished. So he can’t leverage that for bribes.
Just 10 Democrats?!
Green still hasn’t been censured; the Dems threw a hissy fit and took over the well of the House, so Johnson recessed, and now they’re doing the one-minutes.
There needs to be fines that goes along with these things. Not only fine Green but fine anyone who disrupts.
Yeah unfortunately he is the duly elected Representative of his Congressional District.
It requires 2/3rd vote of the members to expel. Based on the vote totals today, they do not have 2/3rds willing to vote for expulsion
BREAKING: I just took a big smelly dump.
IOW — WHO CARES?
If he’s still an incumbent member of the House of Reps, then the censure is useless
No they voted to censure him. 10 Demcorats joined all the Republicans to vote for censure. The recess came after
Let’s not get all worked up, the whole thing was staged. And the play acting of Congressman “Pimp Daddy” waving his cane at the POTUS backfired completely. The people’s pimp hand is stronger. So sure, censure him for the act. Recognize the show for what it was, the flailing gasps of a party that offers nothing but dramatics.
Censure is something they had the votes to do
Would you rather they do nothing?
Ugly, nasty, zero rizz NERDS!
everyone should get on the phone RIGHT NOW and call their Rep’s offices - and DEMAN to know if their Rep was in the mob singing and disrupting a House proceeding!
Democrats started singing “We Shall Overcome”
so now it’s RACIAL!
:)
Tar and Feather !
.
Wait ——What did He say and Do?
It’s abundantly clear that Hakeem Jeffries is not a capable leader he’s weak and he’s going to destroy democrats as a result.
“Following the vote, Democrats started singing “We Shall Overcome” on the House floor as if the party needed further embarrassment.”
Doubling, quadrupling, octupling down. Maybe it’ll work next time. After all, that sort of meaningless, childish display *used* to work. Keep trying!
well the censure does nothing so i don’t really care
I want them to actually clean up their house (no pun)
Those ten democrats might be the only ones left after the dust settles.
