That is a difficult decision .... to decide whether to stay and renovate ... and live with that messy process ... or, to move to something already ready to move in to.
I know you love your home ... with so many memories of growing up there and then caring for your parents, there.

There really isn’t a timeline other than the fact that I’m facing a Medicare enrollment deadline of August.
I’d like to stay where I’ve been in the ranch house my dad built in 1968 when I was 8 yrs old.
One minute, I think this place is too big for me; yet the idea of moving closer to a more populated area makes me nervous. I’m out in a rural area and enjoy my space and privacy.
I’ll keep you updated as to my plans and progress.

We go back and forth, over whether to downsize, or not.
We can’t imagine ourselves in something smaller...plus, where would company (kids) stay, when visiting?
We have all of the places we like to shop/patronize, so close. We’d have to find all new places, or, drive right back to where we currently are.
It’s a tough decision, for sure.
