The average teacher salary in the USA is $63,000. The average salary at the Department of education is $144,000. No wonder bureaucrats want to keep the department of education. They don’t even have to show up for “work”.

This is what the conservatives, home schooler parents and those who ARE involved in the TRUE welfare of these children’s education need to make clear to folks who are NOT tuned in.

Get them to understand this ... and, what a simple breakdown, with the numbers you’ve provided ... and, they’ll be INVOLVED, stat.

Just like the minorities who switched from Dem to TRUMP .... they were tired of being played and being kept from jobs, oppurtunities, etc.

Sadly not all people can pick up and move. Here in IN as I said with the basketball levels ruining our once great sport...people move in areas they want. Money people go to lower ranked school from a 5.A. And through the years certain counties have started building high priced homes. Leaving the 5.A areas with lower income people. What I'm trying to say...if the state determines the education and text for the entire state ..then yes, most probably people will leave California. If counties determine the text then people will be moving within the state.

Now a local town that has higher income people are raising a fuss because their property tax has gone up considerately. But they've demanded more for their area and not just for their schools. They rerouted the school boundary so a high income area with a golf course is now in their area to draw high income people.

As Diana has wondered, how will the school system work. By state totally or by counties? Just my thought questioning how will it be determined?

I know exactly what you mean about " picking up and moving".

HOW I would have loved to relocated when my hubby retired..but it just wasn't feasible!
