I am, the dividend should be applied to the deficit!
We are right now looking that, maybe, we may be able to get out budget into some kind of balance. Giving the money away is just sending the message that we really do not care about the deficit!

We need to reassess how much it is before we start sending huge checks out to those theives
Think about this, they give billions and billions of our money away to countries that hate us. While our country goes down the tube. Why dont they give every tax paying US Citizens a million bucks. Then watch this economy take the hell off. They stole more than that from all of us.
Right after the fiscal part of my brain thought; “Great idea! I could use some refund. America should get the refund”
Then the Trump-is-a-brainiac part of my brain thought; “EXCELLENT benefit to win more MAGA voters for the mid terms!L
THEN the cynic part of my brain IMMEDIATELY thought;
“Great idea. To get the refund, simply verify yourself at the fedgov website, providing a current address, photo of your ID...and your social security number.
...a well-laid trap for the fraudulent SSN abuse, as recently disclosed, and a self-doxing of immigrant invaders”
...but that last part is merely the cynic nodule of my brain

Do the rebate to hook the American People on the truth of where this money came from. Then, by all means, start paying down the debt. I’m 68 and would like to die leaving my grandchildren with as little debt as possible.

If tariffs really do raise prices then some tax relief would go a long way to keeping Americans able to adjust to that change.
