Senate Republicans are set to vote on their budget resolution this week as the chamber makes its move toward enacting a big chunk of President Trump’s agenda.
Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-S.D.) on Tuesday announced plans for the chamber to take up the measure that the Senate Budget Committee advanced last week, putting it on track to hit the floor this week as the chamber puts pressure on the House to act.
“It’s time to act on the decisive mandate the American people gave to President Trump in November. Securing the border, rebuilding our defense, and unleashing American energy. That starts this week with passing Chairman @LindseyGrahamSC ’s budget,” Thune wrote on the social platform X, referring to the Budget panel chair. “Let’s get it done.”

Graham’s budget. 50% to 60% will be military or intelligence spending.
Yeah the Senate bill will be trash.
It will be the same old GOP_E crap. Spend more on everything but really spend a lot more on the Pentagon and the Intelligence Agencies. There will be some cover proapganda about “the border” but nothing really worth passing
All the heavy lifting will have to be done by the US House.
I care about one thing and one thing only.
NO TAX ON SOCIAL SECURITY
I won’t complain if other reforms go along with it, but screwing seniors with double taxation is unconscionable.
We need a huge spotlight on this Senate budget resolution. If there is pork, I want to know who is behind it.
