A former Reform UK insider has spoken out after quitting the party, claiming that Nigel Farage runs it like a "dictatorship", and does not "allow people to think".
Divisions have reportedly emerged among supporters of the party and its leadership over far-right activist Tommy Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon.
Earlier this month, tech billionaire Elon Musk signalled his support for the co-founder of the English Defence League (EDL) and called for him to be released from prison.
Robinson admitted in October to contempt of court by repeating false claims against a Syrian refugee. Judge Mr Justice Johnson said at the time that his actions were not “accidental, negligent or merely reckless”.
Despite Mr Musk and Mr Farage seemingly enjoying a good relationship up to that moment, the Reform UK leader said Robinson is “not what we need”, and he would not be allowed into the party.

Farage isn’t as smart as Trump
Trump would have figured out a way to capture the truth and energy of Tommy Robinson, bring it to his own campaign, without necessarily making Robinson an outright ally and certainly avoiding the negative energy of public division and distraction Farage has created for himself.
IMO Robinson has always been a meddler meant to discredit the alternative perspective.
I’m with Nigel on this one.
Wow that’s a new take. Interesting.
If it wasn’t for Tommy Robinson the grooming gangs scandal would have been swept under the rug. Tommy is a freedom fighter.
His video about that little Syrian so and so which I watched outed the cover up of that case where a white kid got sold down the river to protect a Muslim immigrant. Everything Tommy said about that Syrian kid was true. The UK government just didn’t want the public to find out about it. So they threw Robinson in jail for telling the truth.
Mark Steyn has made some very harsh statements about Farage. He didn’t stand for principle when GB News was being hassled over truth about covid, & he hasn’t stood for Tommy Robinson’s rights. While I like Farage in general, he does seem to be lacking in that extra “something” we want in a leader.
Trump is a blend of Patton and Reagan. That’s the kind of blend you want.
Tommy Robinson is all Patton. You can successfully go all Patton only if you have an Eisenhower to protect you. And I don’t see anyone like Ike in the UK.
I haven’t quite figured Farage out yet.
“Nigel Farage runs it like a “dictatorship”
Maybe you need a dictatorship, you’re pretty much screwed as you are.
he doesnt have to agree with everything Tommy says or does
but acknowledge his accomplishments in shining light on the rape/torture gangs
and speak out against the political persecution of Tommy
Here we go. Same old story. Farage is a skilled orator and debater, but you need other qualities if you aspire to lead a country. His leadership and management skills have always been dire. Sooner or later he’s left in disarray every organisation he’s been involved with.
‘The UK Government’ didn’t jail Robinson. He was jailed by a Crown Court judge for repeatedly flouting a High Court injunction. The UK Government has no power to jail anybody. Separation of powers is still alive and well here.
Especially in a parliamentary system.
Sounds like some whining idiot didn't like his ideas getting rejected.
Call me crazy, but I doubt that he is wiring up their brains and punishing them with electric shocks for every time they show brain wave activity.
When your opening statement is pure hyperbole, it's a safe bet that you have nothing of substance in your argument.
Robinson was jailed for ignoring a court order banning him from showing a video documentary that he produced. You live in a police state. Nothing is alive or well in the UK.

So now the British tyranny bleeds over to Americans. I have just received notice just before boarding my plane to London that my prison visit with Tommy Robinson has been canceled because I have a social media platform.
