The governments of ten Latin American nations expressed concern over the “threat” of mass deportations under President Donald Trump in a joint statement released over the weekend.
Last week, foreign ministers and representatives of Belize, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, and Venezuela gathered in Mexico City for a “Meeting on Human Mobility on the Northern Route of the Continent,” a joint initiative of the far-left Presidents of Mexico Claudia Sheinbaum and Honduras’s Xiomara Castro.
According to the Mexican government, which served as the gathering’s host, the meeting sought to discuss actions aimed at “protecting the human rights of migrants, preventing abuse and mistreatment, managing regular, safe and orderly migration from a humanitarian perspective.”
Additionally, the participants discussed “integrating migrant populations, and strengthening international cooperation to address the migration phenomenon from its structural and circumstantial causes, and in its full cycle: origin, transit, destination and return.”
The summit concluded with the ten participant nations signing a 14-point joint statement that expressed “serious concern” over announcements of mass deportations, “particularly because of their incompatibility with fundamental human rights principles and their failure to effectively address the structural causes of migration.”

The “threat” of having to take their own citizens back?
Tough crap. Get used to it.
These incompetent or communist leaders shoUld instead be more concerned as to why their citizens feel the need to flee their countries to make a dangerous journey to the US.
They had the same meeting four years ago, no?
I think these countries are more concerned about the revenue that will be lost from remittances (money) from illegals here, to their country. It is a staggering amount.
MF’ers know some big fancy words.
They treat their own like garbage- now they worry.
Did any of these rat-hole countries ever consider fixing up their own countries and treating their citizens like humans?
The Marxist lefties are about to get their human sewage sloshed back on their butts. Has Joe Pedo been arrested yet? When is someone going to sue the ass off of Georgie Soros?
Pay El Salvador to “house” them...
If these South American turd governments refuse to take back their criminal illegal aliens, via direct fights home. Then just fly them to Paraguay with $500 in their pockets, to find their way home.
Of course, we make an agreement with Paraguay on this.
Put a 100% tax on cash transfer remittances back to the above communist $h!tholes, and this noise will stop.
Did this same group meet with similar concern when the hordes of millions were marching north to the US when people were dying and getting raped? Suddenly their concerned about safety and well-being of migrants. IMO, they are being coached to play to the left wing US media and help incite a backlash.
They emptied their prisons.
Those are the people they’re really worried about having to take back.
Exactly, they do not want their murder’s back that they exiled to the USA illegally.
They should be more worried about the US declaring war for then executing asymmetrical warfare on us via their prison population.
They didn’t seem to mind what they all started out on their way to the United States on their own.
They thought they could solve their human trash problems by dumping them in the vacant lot of the US in the Biden administration. The Trump administration will scoop up the trash and dump it back on their front step. No longer a Biden vacant lot.
wHy pick on Paraguay— send them all to Brazil, let Lulu da Silva deal with them.
Too bad. You sent your inmates to the US, guess what, your inmates are returning.
Same *threat* we’ve had to deal with for four years.
They’re your people and we don’t want them either.
