This is not a new issue. It been a problem for 2 decades because of rabid extreme environmental policies pushed by the Alt Left politicians and bureaucrats in the CA State Government

Exactly. It’s been known that their policies are a major reason they get so bad. Any attempt to get water where it’s needed or cut back trees and vegetation so fires don’t spread so rapidly in stock by environmentalist trying to protect a fish or a mouse.
