Former Rep. Matt Gaetz filed a lawsuit Monday against the House Ethics Committee seeking an emergency temporary restraining order to try and stop the release of its damning investigation into his alleged sexual misconduct and illicit drug use, arguing its release would prompt “immediate and widespread” media coverage.
Gaetz filed the lawsuit after denying allegations published in a leaked draft of the report ahead of its official release in full.

Hmmmmmm! I kinda hope I don’t get any kickback from the mid 1960’s. 🤔.
😊👍🎅🙏
Kind of too late.
HARD to tell a 26 year old from a 15 year old these days.
Haha, thinking the same thing.
No reason to release this report.
Why? It’ll just be leaked anyway. It Gaetz did anything illegal he’d have been charged by now. Let the facts come out and let Gaetz follow through on his promise to reveal what others in Congress have been up to - sunlight is the best disinfectant for Gaetz and for everyone else in Congress.
Hasn't the report not be released by the committee?
I think the Democrats are afraid he’ll fulfill his threat of running for his old House seat.
All people in government should be aware that the Epsteins and P Diddys of the world spend an enormous amount of money and effort to entrap/blackmail them. So do our three lettered agencies.
I think they’re more worried he will find a way to expose others - the congressional hush-money slush fund, the Epstein files, etc.
“damning investigation”??
Does that mean there is damning evidence? Does it mean the investigators were involved in muck-raking, hoping to find something?
Or does that mean it more than just a mere investigation, such as when police investigate crimes that have been committed?
Do police investigators term their searches as damning investigations, a pejorative that would probably have their investgations disallowed in a court of law.
Have we ever seen this happen before? Not the same circumstances but a member of Congress suing a Congressional committee. What’s the suit for - defamation, libel? One has to be published to apply, doesn’t it?
I hope he sues each individual member and not just the committee as a whole....that would be at great expense but might be able to make a deal for pro-bono with a law firm...Sue until they feel the pain and we get to see the look on their faces at the judgment!!!!
It’s been leaked
It pays to read the article..especially when it’s staring you in the face:
“”seeking an emergency temporary restraining order””
The report hasn't been released by the people who wrote the report. How do you know that what was "leaked", is what was in the report?
A Murdoch rag report.
The reporting has a Never Trumper bias to it.
Never TRUST anything owned by an Aussie born globalist scumbag that includes Faux News.
The Never Trump bias runs deep, but they have mastered superficial diversion to cover it up.
Lots of folks would be in jail.
Gaetz was reelected in November. He is the Congressman elect. Even if he resigned from the current congress.
