• Last-minute deal: The House has passed a stopgap funding bill just hours before a midnight deadline to avert a federal government shutdown. It now heads to the Senate for approval.

• What’s in the deal: The latest plan would extend government funding into March and includes disaster relief and farming provisions, but does not include a suspension of the debt limit, which President-elect Donald Trump has been demanding that Republicans address.

The House voted 366 to 34 to approve the measure. More Democrats than Republicans supported the stopgap bill, which required a two-thirds majority. All the "No" votes came from GOP holdouts. The bill appeared on a glide path to Senate approval late Friday night.

What’s going to pass? Do they have to vote for it to find out what’s in it again?

“but does not include a suspension of the debt limit, which President-elect Donald Trump has been demanding that Republicans address.”

A lot of people are saying that this is 3D chess or “The Art of the Deal” by Trump. As time goes by, we will find out.

If Democrats support it, it is a Shiite bill.

I like how this bill was online available to for all to read it. Unlike Pelosi who said you have to pass the bill to see what is in it.

How can we tell if the spending bill passes, even if we turn of the news?

We feel it as a pain in our wallets.

Old Saying.

They say the only constants are death and taxes.
Death stays pretty much the same but taxes go up whenever Congress is in session.

Debt limits are conservative but not MAGA. Do not put limits on PDJT.

You miss the point.
Democrats pass laws to allow Democrat
bureaucrats to make policy, so the congress has no idea
other than party policy how it will turn out.
Congress is supposed to make policy and be held accountable
for their decisions.
Democrats don’t like being held accountable.

So, if not an auto pen, who is going to wake Joe Biden up to sign the thing? His bedtime is 8:00 pm, but he stops work at 3 or 4.

Damn! I wanted the government to shut down. It would prove we don’t need it anymore than we did in 1776… when there was none.
