You might just as well say UAVs shouldn't be able to fly at cruising speed, slide under the sea, and re-emerge. Or that the X-43A flew 7,000mph at 110,000ft. Skunk Works products keep life interesting, particularly their hybrid obsessions in this century.
I don't believe for a minute that a new military branch is just going to limit themselves to everything about the Kármán line -- that's not how the money-eating blob that is the military-industrial complex works -- or that other forces are going refrain from bringing Space Force to heel by not insinuating themselves in the Space Force budget, primary the Air Force.
Think about it: McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst at the center of all this nonsense, is an Air Force base that also hosts 2 Marine groups and a USNR support group.
More to the point, JB MDL is home to the United States Air Force Expeditionary Center, "global mobility training and education". They have the ATC and they would have or easily procure the platoon's worth of UAV pilots and the command structure to pull this off at the behest of the Deep State.
MACA: Keeping pilots safe and sound, JOINT BASE MCGUIRE-DIX-LAKEHURST, N.J."The “CanDo” wing hosted the Mid-Air Collision Avoidance event at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey, April 20, 2024. This event served as a rare opportunity for local pilots to fly directly onto the McGuire Air Force Base flight line, where they were treated to a tour and an educational safety briefing.
Due to its location, JB MDL is in one of the busiest air traffic corridors in the world. More than 50 civil airports are located within 100 miles of the installation, which, combined, generate more than 5,000 movements per day. JB MDL alone adds as many as 100 additional movements to that sum.
"Due to our operational security requirements, military aircraft will often operate in a manner that renders us invisible to civilian traffic, unless they are in contact with Air Traffic Control," said U.S. Air Force Maj. Tyler Glover, 305th Air Mobility Wing pilot."
An article about testing in 2021
Lots of military air related research and testing happens there.
Regarding all these RECENT reports, no one is talking about UFO's or UAVs outside of earth's atmosphere. ALL of these recent videos are clearly within earth's atmosphere, most of which appear to be within only a few thousand feet altitude or much less. That puts them under the jurisdiction of the FAA, not Space Force.
