John: Republican New Jersey State Assemblyman Brian Bergen, a former military helicopter pilot, was involved in the meeting yesterday that they thought the governor was going to attend, but he didn’t. You said after that meeting that you had gone to it to have your concerns allayed but came out of the meeting with even more concerns than you had going in. What are you thinking today?
Bergen: That’s 100% true. I’m no better off today than yesterday. That meeting was a joke, a total waste of time, and it showed the ineptitude that is going on right now in this investigation.
You know what we need right now? We need leadership. Somebody needs to step up and lead. Governor Murphy pointing his finger towards the federal government is not going to cut it. He has resources at his disposal that he needs to put into action. The state police, who I learned in the meeting yesterday, had a helicopter hovering above one of these drones and chose not to follow it back to where it was coming from. He also has the National Guard, which he can mobilize to figure out what the hell is going on. We need leadership in the state of New Jersey, and it is completely void of that right now.
John: He says his hands are tied to the federal government. I don’t know if you caught it a few moments ago, but John Kirby over at the White House said this about the drone invasion. Listen.
Kirby: The Department of Homeland Security and the FBI are investigating these sightings and working closely with state and local law enforcement to provide resources. Using numerous detection methods to understand their origin, and using very sophisticated electronic detection technologies provided by federal authorities, we have not been able to corroborate any of the reported visual sightings. To the contrary, upon review of available imagery, it appears that many of the reported sightings are actually manned aircraft that were being operated lawfully.
John: What he’s basically saying there is, “These are not the drones that you are looking for.” I mean, what—
Bergen: That guy is an idiot. That I can tell you right now. The Colonel of the State Police told the members of the state legislature that one of his helicopters was hovering above a six-foot-wide drone, and he landed that helicopter because he felt it was unsafe for his pilots.
I am a former Apache helicopter pilot and a member of the New Jersey State Legislature, and I have seen these things in my own community. That guy— I don’t even know his name—who was on here a couple of minutes ago is a fool if he is going to say there is no issue.
John: He’s a former Rear Admiral in the U.S. Navy named John Kirby. So, helicopter pilot against the admiral. Go ahead.
Bergen: Well, you know, “Go Army, beat Navy,” that’s what I would say.
John: Frustration does seem to be reaching the highest levels. This is what New Jersey Senator Cory Booker said yesterday. Listen.
Booker: I have been a little frustrated there hasn’t been enough transparency, letting people know what is happening. This is allowing a lot of potentially misinformation to spread, or at least fear. We should know what is going on over our skies. I’ve asked for more information.
John: You would think after the Chinese balloon incident last year, people would take this a little more seriously in terms of investigation.
Bergen: Yeah, we 100% should. We need people to take action. On the segment before I got here, somebody said it’s impossible to track hundreds and hundreds of these drones for our state police. We don’t need to track hundreds or thousands. We only need to track one and find out who is at fault for one of these things.
I’m telling you, it’s a big issue. I hope at the end of the day we find out that it was nothing—some commercial application being tested—and this is a big to-do about nothing. But right now, everybody—senators, assembly people, U.S. senators—are calling for action, and people are not making enough of a difference.
Before, the same gentleman you mentioned earlier said we are being resourced. The state was being resourced with this technology. In the briefing that we were at, state police said they were going to be getting some new technology from the Department of Homeland Security to track these drones. Apparently, it was supposed to determine what is a bird and what is a drone to make it easier to track.
One of my colleagues— and this was yesterday—asked, “When are you going to get that?” The answer was, “Within two days.” Two days? We need it now.
John: I’ve never seen a bird with lights, but maybe I’ve just missed it. Assemblyman, thank you for joining us. The mystery deepens. Some people are saying the House just across the street from me just approved nearly $900 billion for the military.
BREAKING NEWS: Fox News Reporter Presses John Kirby About Drones Flying Above New Jersey, Brooklyn
Ping
He’s just a TAD SMOOTHER LIAR than the Cabbage Patch kid.
Fox Video: Gen. Jack Keane: NJ drones reminds us all of the spy balloon incidentFox article/video: Drones spotted over Connecticut sky in latest phenomenon — There's a good video interview with General Anthony Tata (at source) about the lack of faith in our federal institutions right now and how Trump and his cabinet are going to restore that faith.
Lying liars lie. It’s what they do. Someone needs to start calling for resignations if there is no action taken. Words will not solve this nor salve the public’s concern.
[’He’s an idiot’: ... current NJ State Assembly Whip Brian Bergen commenting on John Kirby statement from WH)]
And a pathological liar, too.
I saw him comment on something regarding American citizens about a year ago - his face said it all
Notice how carefully he picks his words.
He;s a FORK TONGUED SLIMEBALL!
Keep the pressure on. This one is bigger than you think. Slowly, people will come to realize what’s going on and all hell will break loose.
Some retired generals (like Anthony Tata) are saying that the lack of leadership from the DOD demonstrated in this situation is the reason we need Pete Hegseth as SecDef.
I just watched a YouTube News article that outlined similar sightings all over the world in the past few days, including over several of our foreign military bases.
Interesting. Do you have a link? I’d like to check it out.
“Keep the pressure on. This one is bigger than you think. Slowly, people will come to realize what’s going on and all hell will break loose.”
My gut tells me you are correct.
I’ll try to find it again..
If this isn’t some sort of classified military testing that the government is lying about, whoever is in charge of investigating those drones should have been fired long before now.
Kirby is an insult to his position and the American people. “No credible threat”. If they don’t know where the drones are coming from and why , apparently know nothing, how can they say there’s no threat? Then try to downplay the whole issue by saying they are manned aircraft. So many witnesses, so many sightings cannot all be wrong. I’m so sick and tired of government lies and constant use of the worn out phrase “No evidence”. “No evidence the virus came from a lab”, “No evidence the balloon is a spy balloon”, “No evidence the laptop is Hunter’s”, blah, blah, blah.
I’ve heard accounts of the NJ State Police helicopter hovering over one of these drones but ultimately choosing not to follow it due to concerns about a potential collision.
I wish the State Police would provide more details about this incident. Was the drone simply flying erratically, posing an unintentional risk, or was it behaving in a way that seemed deliberately threatening? Was the pilot initially planning to track the drone to its point of origin before deciding to abort the pursuit, or was the encounter entirely spontaneous?
Thx much.
Exactly. That’s like a life guard at the beach saying to swimmers and surfers, “We see a large fish in the water. We don’t know what it is or anything about it. But we know there’s no danger.”
