Democrats in this blue state double down on protecting criminal migrants. For one silly reason [Opinion]

During the last four years, Massachusetts has been overwhelmed by the migrant surge coming across the southern border. Last year, Gov. Maura Healey declared a state of emergency, citing the rapid increase in migrant families seeking shelter and the state’s inability to adequately accommodate them.

Before the November 5th election, Healey was sending top deputies to the southern border to deliver a message that Massachusetts had no more vacancies...

Two years of unrelenting waves of migrants continue to cost Massachusetts taxpayers between $1 and $2 billion annually – with no end in sight....

Yet when relief is being offered, Massachusetts Democrats are not only rejecting that relief, but they’re also pledging to fight it to protect illegal migrants, even ones accused of abhorrent crimes, at the expense of taxpayers and public safety.

Why? Because it involves President Trump.

besides the crime wave on the streets, "More than 300 "serious incidents" have been recorded at state-run migrant facilities this year... " mostly, it is assumed, against the women and children at these shelters. Maybe the female immigrants' lives don't matter after all?

Democrats need as many illegal aliens as possible to reside in their states and congressional districts during the 2030 census. It’s all about congressional apportionment.

Millions of illegal aliens have entered the U.S. in the last four years. Illegal aliens residing in sanctuary states and cities mean more congressional seats for Democrats.

And THAT may be the biggest issue to address.
No way anyone not a legal US resident should be counted for the census.
Period, end of discussion.
Now throw the “Migrant” INVADERS out.

NOT a single invader should be counted toward apportionment

Message to Red State Governors:
Massachusetts has room for plenty more illegal aliens.
Pack 'em up; move 'em out. Massachusetts accepts all comers.

Exactly. Even permanent residents and green card holders SHOULD NOT be counted in the census for aportionment because that violates one man, one vote.

For example, suppose California has 25 million illegal aliens, and 25 million citizens. If the current system remains, congressional districts for 50 million will be apportioned. However, because there are only 25 million legal voters, each California legal voter has his vote implicitly given the weight of 2 votes. Compare to a normal state where the weight is 1 vote per legal voter.

This is why California loves illegal aliens, because it gives California out-sized power and an illegitimate advantage in Congress.

I understand that migrants travel to the free Healthcare states for treatment no matter where they live.

I believe Trump wanted a citizenship question for the 2020 census but courts or Congress said no...

He should try again.

Trouble with this idea is the Constitution, in Article 1, Section 2 mentions three kinds of people: Free people, including indentured servants, to be counted as one, non-taxed Indians not to be counted at all, and ‘others’ to be counted as 3/5ths, the ‘others’, of course being slaves. The word ‘citizen’ or legal resident is not in the Constitution.

If they don’t want the illegals in their state, stop giving them freebies and jobs and housing and free k-12. It’s against the law to encourage illegals to live in america.
