Retiring President Biden playfully swiped a Hawaiian roll from a military buffet line Monday as Cyndi Lauper’s hit “Girl Just Want to Have Fun” blasted at a Coast Guard facility on Staten Island — before reclaiming a microphone to say “I’ve been fired.”
Biden, 82, gave a playful look to fellow buffet servers after snagging the snack and sneaking bites as he prepared to ladle out vegetables to service members and their families at the Coast Guard Sector New York.
After nearly 50 minutes of scooping, Biden unexpectedly addressed the crowd.
“Hello, hello, hello!” said the retiring commander in chief.
“I’ve just been told I’ve been fired,” said Biden

I’m pleased he’s doing this. It’s the sort of thing the president SHOULD do for military families. Even if he’s a veggie, himself, he’s STILL the president and for that high office to come and serve families is exactly right and good. The kids will talk about it for years later and that makes them special, as kids should be.

If I didn’t already despise Biden as my President, I would feel a little sorry for him as a man. He is correct. He was indeed effectively fired, but it wasn’t just by Nancy, it was by the collective will of most Americans. The charade was over. There could be no more pretending that Biden was capable of anything more complex than ribbon cutting at the new strip mall.
His primary legacy will be the president who opened the borders and didn’t had who came in.
