House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan on Friday instructed Attorney General Merrick Garland, and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to keep their records related to the border crisis, as they prepare to leave office next year.
The requests were the latest signal that the committee plans to continue its investigations into the Biden-Harris administration's alleged failures. The committee sent requests to officials in the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) last week.
Jordan expressed concern in the letters that the departments would purge the documents, communications, and information that the committee has repeatedly requested when they leave office.

Can anyone tell me anything the House did over the past two years to hold the Biden administration officials accountable for their actions? Garland and Mayorkas, along with countless other Biden officials, has ignored the House's request for information, refused to appear before committees, or when they did appear, sat before the representatives and outright lied.
I've watched hearings in which Mayorkas has acted as if he has no clue what is going on in his department, stated the border is secure, and refused to answer questions. They KNOW there will be no repercussions.
Industrial shredders are even now parked in front of federal departmental buildings as bureaucrats destroy all evidence of their corruption and crimes.
Congress has a jail, they should use it.
Geldings gonna geld!
Or else what?
“the Biden-Harris administration’s alleged failures”
WTF? You mean their treason, right?
Because allowing an invasion force of the country’s adversaries in under the wire fits that definition like a glove.
And I would have the picture of the BP lifting the barbed wire up with a tractor set on an easel as I made the claim in trial.
He will send another letter.
Concur. Its all just a big show.
95% of the Government is on the same team.
Americans should have noted this when they saw the entire apparatus pounce on one actual American that snuck in there under their noses in 2016.
Keep all devices, memory intact.
Retain all CBPONE app data, metadata and geolocation data.
I’ll go further and say I believe this country sent “agents” for lack of a better term down South and actually negotiated the release of their criminals so they could come in here.
Can’t prove it yet, but this should be thoroughly investigated.
"Oh, we deleted those records before we got your preservation letter.
It was an innocent act on our part and was just part of our normal housekeeping process.
Trust us."

So, are you going to follow instructions or are you going to aid and abet the shredding and files wiping (you know, with a rag or something) to commit further crimes in the coverup?
Americans want to know - and they have every right to know the truth.

while they are running multiple shredders 24/7 yeah right let me hold on to docs that will land me in jail
The entire Biden administration shoukd be advised to keep ALL of their records and communications for pending investigations!!! Period.......
You can say all you want about Hillary Clinton but at least she was considerate enough to clean all her data. She wiped it all squeaky-clean. Some people just go that extra mile
By law they have to keep all records and emails which are also legal documents. So Jordan’s letter is a warning only but as we know, the left deletes emails and documents on a regular basis
Regardless, nothing will happen to Garland or Mayorkas. They may get a slap on the wrist and lose a few perks but they’ll retire fat and happy and get cushy high paying liberal “expert” gigs.
Ridiculous. Ordering criminals not to do crimes... Yeah; that always works.
Can still see the Hildabeast saying that.
“Wipe it clean? You mean, like with a cloth?”
Sugar on top might help Jim
The congressional version of Demi Moore “strenuously objecting”.
