Dr. Deborah Birx, former White House coronavirus response coordinator who served in President-elect Donald Trump’s first administration, said she’s “excited” for the public health discussions that will take place during Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s confirmation hearing to lead the Department of Health and Human Services.
When asked about his position on vaccines and his pledge to bring transparency about them to the American public, “Face the Nation” host Margaret Brennan said she wasn’t sure what he meant by that and asked why Birx believes the nation is seeing a decline in vaccination rates.
“I think there’s two pieces to it," Birx began. "I think when we talk about things in public health, we don't acknowledge the concerns because when my children went to school, there was maybe one in 1,000 kids with autism, diagnosed autisms. Now it's three per 100. So, every mom is seeing a classroom of kindergarteners where one of the children has autism. That's scary to moms and dads. They want to know why. So, it's not good enough for us to just say, vaccines don't cause autism, it's us finding what is the cause of autism and reverse it."
Brennan told viewers there's no scientific link at this point between vaccines and autism, and Birx confirmed that point, though Kennedy believes otherwise.
But Birx said that's why she believes the conversation is so important.
"So that's why, when he talks about transparency, I'm actually excited that in a Senate hearing he would bring forward his data and the questions that come from the senators would bring forth their data," she said.
"What I know for sure is, he's a very smart man who can bring his data and his evidence base forward, and we can have a discussion that many Americans believe already is a problem," Birx continued. "So, until we can have that transparency and that open discussion from both sides, I know the members have incredible staffers who will bring great questions from their constituents, and that hearing would be a way for Americans to really see the data that you're talking about, that we can't see that causation right now. But what is causing it? And so you're absolutely right, addressing what the cause is will be critical."
Birx also discussed the role COVID played in Americans' growing skepticism about vaccines.
"I think what has confused people is we weren't clear about what Covid vaccines do and don't," she said. "And so now people are questioning, well, what do my child vaccines do and don't. And they don't understand that some of the vaccines that their children are getting protect them from both disease and create herd immunity, and some of them that they get are just for their child...to protect their child from getting very serious illness. And we're just not explaining all of this correctly."

No, what confused people is calling the so-called COVID shots as a vaccine. It wasn't until many had taken more than a few shots/boosters before they realized the hoax of calling them a vaccine.

I think she has regrets about lying to the public, thus disgracing herself and effectively stalling her career. This is a way for her to try to redeem herself.

Birx came into our government during the Reagan Administration as I recall.
But she was a COVID lockdown promoter especially four years ago at this time during the transition to Biden Administration.
Birx owns COVID tyranny. Mike Pence called her his ‘right arm’ on the White House COVID Task Force.
There may be more aspects to Birx than COVID she grew up here in Central Pennsylvania and may have associations with Pro-Life elements which make her a Republican aligned individual.
That is how I see it.

You, Fauci, and the Biden Administration repeatedly and deliberately lied about the efficacy and safety of an untested experimental gene therapy not-a-vaccine, changed the definition to pretend like it’s a vaccine, and destroyed millions of lives by either coercing folks to get jabbed against their will or lose their jobs, or actually lose their jobs when they refused, and then millions who WERE forced to take the jab were sickened, maimed for life, or actually died from the “safe and effective” untested fake vaccine ... almost everyone in the nation was either directly affected or knew a close family member or close friend who was ... fool me once, shame on me; fool me twice, shame on you ...
it’s no wonder people don’t trust the CDC, FDA, the medical “authorities” and even many/most of their own doctors any longer given the magnitude of their lies and the magnitude of destruction they caused with the lies ... and those of us who then researched deeper into the whole vaccine scam discovered that the influenza vaccines also basically don’t work either ....

I don’t think she merits a rope necklace in the same way someone like Fauci or others might qualify, but she did her country no favors and deserves both financial and legal scrutiny leaving wide open the possibility of legal action.

Hey, while we’re looking at comparisons, will she be excited to talk about the fact that the current vaccine protocol has children way more vaccinated than when she had kids?
She must think that because a few vaccines are good, that umpteen more must be better. Maybe there’s a point where too many vaccines overwhelm the child’s body.

I would agree she needs to be held accountable for her actions in this. A lot of people were injured in this endeavor, and they were the ones responsible for ensuring safety and efficacy, which failed on both counts.
I take her opinion at face value.
If it’s true that a generation ago there was one in 1,000 kids with autism, whereas today it’s three per 100, then we need to find the cause. It might have nothing to do with Covid.
Seems like DHHS would know of this problem and would have been trying hard to find out what’s going on.
Kennedy is motivated to take a hard look at what DHHS has been doing. I’m for turning him loose to dig into what they’ve been doing and possibly hiding.
That mealy-mouthed scarf-wearing snake is a criminal and responsible for American deaths.
