The recriminations are flying, as Barack Obama’s and Joe Biden’s forces go to war over who’s more to blame for Democrats’ humiliating defeat Tuesday. So long as the left is pointing fingers, let it direct a big, fat digit at the outfit that played the biggest role in losing it this election: the U.S. media.
That isn’t the conventional wisdom, which holds that the press’s naked shilling for Democratic candidates amounts to an in-kind campaign contribution. And no doubt the media’s ceaseless attacks on Donald Trump and Republicans did help round up some undecided voters. Yet the boosterism for Kamala Harris & Co. came at a far bigger cost: A narrative full of fantasy enabled Democrats to live in a world disconnected from the mood and worries of the country.
Among the most damaging of these fantasies was the four-year press assurance that Joe Biden was sharp as a tack. Even video evidence in June of a confused president wandering aimlessly at the Group of Seven was met with claims that the footage was “edited,” “lacking context,” “misleading.” Only when the Trump-Biden debate made Mr. Biden’s decline undeniable did the media drop the charade. Then it immediately turned to recast Ms. Harris—a presidential primary loser turned unpopular vice president—as a political genius and the obvious savior of the Democratic Party. How’d that work out?
In a world with a competent press, Mr. Biden’s failing constitution would have been front-page news in time for Democrats to confront the unpleasant (yet manageable) reality of needed change. A primary would have produced a tested nominee, likely one less encumbered by the Biden record. As Harris adviser (and Obama veteran) David Plouffe complains that Team Biden created a “hole” too “deep” for his sidekick to dig out of, don’t forget the industry whose job

My wife also has several she watches on Rumble like The War Room with Steve Bannan.
Alex Jones and a few others.
I cut the cable two years ago and stream everything.
All I know is I saw with my OWN TWO EYES - Anderson Cooper on CNN watching the vote count with another liberal and they were going over the numbers. I watched LIVE as 25,000 votes were DEDUCTED from President Trump and appeared on Bidet’s count. They were talking as they watched and they both paused in disbelief (?) but never addressed it. Just started talking again like nothing happened.
The 2016 election was stolen.
—”Media polling was dead in 2016.”
See the WSJ article:
When Is a Poll Not a Poll?
When the response rate is 2%. That’s a mere projection.
By Michael Segal
Nov. 5, 2024
...Voters sense that polls are untrustworthy, but few understand why. Most people aren’t competent in statistics and have to rely on experts to interpret the data. I’m a bit of a nerd in that regard. I hold a pair of patents in computational statistics.
...In this year’s New York Times/Siena College surveys, pollsters received a response from only 2% of the people they contacted, the Times reports. Response rates have been plunging for years: The Pew Research Center reported a decline from 36% in 1997 to 6% in 2019.
...From my vantage point, pollsters are committing statistical malpractice. Pollsters prominently tout their low “sampling error,” wrapping their results in the cloak of science. Sampling error is an important statistical metric...

The corporate media is dying and its glorious to see. Their audience has shriveled up massively. The only cohort that still believes in or watches them are Boomers. Literally. That is the last generation that has any trust in them. Nobody else is watching. That was a very large generation but they are aging and declining in number every year.......

NPR’s Woodruff was blatant in this kind of thing...why does she still have a job?
Nobody trusts big media.
Do you mean 2020?
I can’t speak for all members of my generation, but I can tell you for a fact that yours truly is one Boomer - b. 1959 - that neither believes, watches, nor trusts corporate media.
They almost pulled it off.
They deliberately prevented discussion about biden’s cognitive impairment. They created a false image of kamala and tried to force everyone to accept it. They labeled her as “black” and moderate, when everyone knew she is Indian and radial marxist. They ran stories against Trump every day. The mainstream media deserves no respect.
It is amazing what we've had to live through for the past four years. Actually, the last 16 years - ever since the Obamanation showed up.
I’m one Boomer who hasn’t trusted the lame stream media in decades. The press has been messed up almost since the start of the country.
Oh, yes! Thank you!
During the primary season in 2020. I do recall Tucker saying how demented Biden was in February ish of 2020.

Although, after watching politics for so much lately we had to take a break the last couple nights.
We watched “The Infiltrator” movie from 2016 on Netflix. It is based on a real story of a US Customs agent that went undercover to launder money for the Columbian Cartels in the 1980s. Bryan Cranston from Breaking Bad stared. I would recommend it.
Last night we watched about an hour on YouTube of police webcam videos of out of control entitled Karens getting arrested.
Us too
I watch sailing vids
Roaring 40s
Thongs
Exotic places
lol what’s not to like
I sailed a lot 40 years ago
I sailed on my father in law’s Freedom 32 Sloop out of Portsmouth, NH(Gulf of Maine) for several years. Until he sold it about 15 years ago.
Freedom Yachts were built in RI in the same factory as J Boats and Pearson. Freedom were the boats that had the Graphite mast. No stays to screw with. It was actually a 30’ with a swim platform on the stern. Which made it a lot easier getting in and out of the dinghy. Had a huge roach on the mainsail. The stick was 52’ off the waterline. It did not have a big Jenny sail. Just a small self tacking jib.
I stumbled on “Sailing Doodles” on YouTube about six months ago. It is a former commercial pilot and his girlfriend that sail in various places around the globe. They were in Italy then Croatia this summer.
Recently he took delivery and did trials of a brand new 52’ cat over in Thailand. It is an EV sailboat. Two big A$$ battery banks. Which are so heavy they have to move them more forward in the vessel. They added more chain to the anchor to balance it out initially.
FYI, my wife gets pissed when I watch it because his girl friend and the other young women that are on his boat/channel are all Instagram bikini models in their 20s.
