Gloomy Nancy Pelosi ducks questions on swapping out Biden for Harris, gets heated with Donna Brazile at VP concession speech

A glum-looking Nancy Pelosi avoided The Post’s questions Wednesday about her role in swapping in Kamala Harris for President Biden as the 2024 Democratic nominee — after getting in a tense discussion with ex-Democratic National Committee chair Donna Brazile ahead of the vice president’s concession speech at Howard University.

“Do you think it was a mistake to kick Joe Biden off the ballot?” The Post inquired as the former House speaker left the event.

The 84-year-old Pelosi, who was elected Tuesday to a 20th term representing her San Francisco-based district in the House, ignored all inquiries — including one about whether she expected to run again in 2026.

Like I said, incumbency has a lot of unearned benefits.

And Biden stayed in the basement the first time.

Honestly, with a few exceptions like Afghanistan withdrawal and Biden’s Red WH Speech, Pelosi tearing up Trump’s speech is the most egregious event I have seen in political theater.

Everything they’ve thrown at Trump and Conservatives in general are now roosting on their shoulders . . . they wrote the playbook and we followed it.

If Harris wins in 2024, the next Democrat opening to run is 2032 if they haven’t destroyed the country or Christ returns.

They should have had him announce in 2023 that he wasn’t running in 2024
And had a solid primary. But they didn’t. They preferred to gaslight the whole world. Jerks.

But in U.S. presidential elections, incumbency is a huge advantage. They probably should have stuck with him.

No debates.

Keep Joe in his basement in Delaware.

Fingers crossed.

50/50 chance he'll win reelection.

They said Kamala’s was a campaign of joy, and I’ll have to admit i’m pretty joyful about it.

I spoke from their perspective. IOW if they were smart they would have had Biden bow out, had a competitive primary, and been honest with their base and the whole world.

I am politically glad they didn’t because what they did was insanely stupid. I can’t believe they got the support they did!

I don’t know who would have gotten in or who would have won their primary. Harris, Newsome, Whitmer… who knows. Glad they have so much hubris.

She would not win a re-election.

“She would not win a re-election.”

That is likely true, but I couldn’t see her lose the Democrat nomination.

Was the torn copy kept?

(It would be fitting to keep for prominent display in the front cabinet in Trump’s Presidential Library.)
