Democrats Losing Hope for House Majority as Republicans Eye Election Trifecta
The Daily Beast ^ | Nov. 6. 2024 | Liam Archacki

Though Republicans seized control of the presidency and the Senate Tuesday night, Democrats have held onto the prospect of a majority in the House—but now that hope, too, is slipping.

While it’s still technically possible, the Democrats’ last-ditch chance relies on flipping a significant number of GOP seats in yet-to-be-called races in western states like Arizona and California, while defending most of their own remaining vulnerable seats.

Republicans are hoping to maintain, if not add to, their existing five-seat majority.

This is to say it isn’t looking good for Democrats, and Axios has reported that a number of the party’s members in the House are nervous, if not outright perturbed.

So far so good for the Republican House. Since the Daily Beast is a really left wing source, it must hurt them to publish this article.

To many of Trump lawyers watching curtesy of Lara Trump, they just can’t find a way to cheat ass effectively as they have in the past!

We absolutely must control the house for this train to have no breaks.

Good, Trump needs to move legislation, EO’s are not enough.

Also, the leadership in both houses has to cooperate, unlike McConnell and Ryan.

This article is 17h old. I hope its point of view that the Democrats are losing hope for a House majority still applies.

There is no honest, legit reason to take this long to verify an election.

Thanks for posting.

This Guy was just engrossed in sitting through article after article holding out the proposition that the Donkey party may seize control of the House of Representatives. They all, however, bore the pungent scent of hopium. Not to be trusted.

This article lays out the reality that all of the races that remain uncalled are ones that would require the Donkey Party to flip a Pubbie-held seat in a district not previously considered part of the battleground, or a Donkey Party-held seat that IS considered part of the battleground. Hence the statistical likelihood that the Pubbies will retain control of the House.

A key moment in the 2024 election was firing Ronna and bringing in Lara and
Whatley . That was a game changer IMO.

This is BS. The Dems are using ballot dumps in PA and Nevada to steal the Senate and the same in CA and elsewhere to steal the House.

This is why they fear Trump. He sees what stands between him and his goal and removes it no matter who it pisses off.

Ca has enough uncalled seats to give the rats the House and the late ballots are arriving. They just stole the NV Senate race. It will be another miracle to keep the House

Looks like an excellent chance for the GOP to flip the sole Alaska House seat its way (Dem incumbent) as per the update Thursday morning, which will make the House hill harder to climb for the Dems

“Also, the leadership in both houses has to cooperate, unlike McConnell and Ryan.”

Exactly. They both put up roadblocks to Trump’s first term. However, they never had any trouble “reaching” across the aisle.

That would be some seriously ***widespread*** ballot fraud.

Now let’s see if conservatives will have the incredibly frustrating experience that we’ve had every other time that the Republicans held all three branches of government -

Lots of investigations but no follow up action?

Lots of excuses for why their “thin majorities” mean they can’t pass any legislation?

Talking conservative while trying to covertly pass amnesty?

Not reversing radical liberal programs implemented by the Dems when they were in charge?
