Well since he was duly elected by the American people, by extension the NYT must consider those citizens a threat to the republic. Its no wonder the Times has lost any shred of credibility.

The key difference between a democracy and a republic lies in the limits placed on government by the law, which has implications for minority rights. The current election is still being counted, and it will take a while for the complete numbers to be displayed. All previous elections are recorded... Interesting fact... in 2020 Biden got about 15 million more votes than Obama, Hillary and (so far) Kamala... It's hard to believe that 15 million more Democrats voted for Biden, than voted for Hillary and Obama.
