If this was Trump, it would be non-stop MSM coverage 24/7 until the election.
Total jobs including government rose by a measly 12k.. if one excludes the 40K government jobs, private payrolls was negative to the tune of -28K..when it comes to actual, non-parasite “government” jobs.
Good post.
You’ve described the problem facing us. Hard times ahead if we don’t quickly get a handle on this. The real problem is, Americans are addicted to the easy money and cheap Chinese goods, as well as binging Netflix and keeping up with the Kardashians. The Marxists have quietly softened up our collective underbelly. We’re ripe for the kill.
We’ve also pushed God out of our affairs.
Pardon my pessimism...
I doubt any new jobs were added, especially when these Leftist MSM liars say so.
Great analysis. Having survived ‘The Carter Years’ if we ever do go totally broke again, it’s going to be a VERY rude awakening for those coming up behind that have never had to experience days like those.
I grew up with Depression-Era Parents (they were kids, of course) and Grandparents, so I was raised to value a dollar and use it to my best interests. I had that going for me in 1978 when I graduated from HS and there were NO JOBS, NO GAS, Interests rates at 20% and above, etc.
It’s going to be very interesting watching the younger set and how they navigate this. Or, just give up!
The fact that they count federal jobs seems dishonest. If Trump wins and shrinks the federal workforce, their statistics would show high unemployment.
If Trump can somehow win the national vote or if he can sweep the battleground states plus New Hampshire and/or Virginia, Democrats And Rinos in the House and Senate will be cautious before fighting Trump.
Whether the nation faces a sovereign debt crisis or only a mild recession we can expect Democrats to play true to form and fight Trump and his reform policies as seriously as they did in his first administration if they think they can get away with it. More, Trump will be, in effect, a lame-duck from the day he is sworn in.
Much will depend on the extent of his victory, much will also depend on the kind of crisis, if any, which afflicts us and much will depend on Trump's political genius as well as Trump's spotty capacity to control his tongue.
