Among my many blessings I count you and Free Republic.
Ha ha!! Love it! I had to have a piece of pie, early this morning, with my breaky. Is that bad??
Wishing you a wonderfully blessed day, dear IM.
So very thankful, and, appreciative for this wonderful place you've given us, to call our home away from home.
Elderly Illinois man invites postal worker to Thanksgiving dinner after the worker saved him when he fell and hit his head while walking his dog.
Jaylen Lockhart was working his postal route in Aurora, IL when he saw 75-year-old Guy Miller take a nasty fall.
Lockhart jumped into action, applied pressure to his head wound and called 911.
He then ran to Miller’s home to notify his wife.
“No matter where you are, no matter what you’re doing, you always have time to stop and help,” Lockhart said.
Miller says he considers Lockhart family now.
“It’s kind of a bad thing that this is how I got to know Jaylen, but in a good sense, it’s a good thing. Because I gained another friend.”
The Lockhart and Miller families will be spending Thanksgiving together this year.

Great Thanksgiving message from Rand.🤣
I’m trying to be a good girl but now that I read your post.
Naw, I’ll wait to have pie after dinner.
However, it’s pumpkin pie for breakfast tomorrow.
Son called from MA to wish us a Happy Thanksgiving.
He said it was raining and dreary at his place.
I image you are getting rain too so praying you will have a very safe trip to and from your sis’s home today.
LOLOL ... is that Matt waving, from outside? Love it.
Cute one!
And no, he isn’t joking.
Ha! You have better will power, than I do, today!
I had plans for that pecan pie the minute I set eyes on it, at Costco, the other day. I just knew how great it would be, along side breakfast, today!
I gave it a wink, last night and said ... I’ll be seeing you, soon.
Costco does have good pecan pies but not as great as my dear mother-in-law’s.
I sure miss her pecan and lemon meringue pies.
But ... the best, all time fave was my late Aunt's pecan pie ... probably very similar to your dear MILs wonderful pecan pie.
