Here's a closer look at the controversy.

Yes by all means tell me more. I'm ever so concerned about the health of The Washington Post's circulation numbers.

The Post lost $77 million last year. Another score of millions won’t bother Bezos.

So, often ‘downsizing’ at large corporations and large (or previously large) newspapers involved ‘golden parashutes’ and contract buyouts. By not endorsing Que Mala, these newspapers have avoided these buyout costs. People are just leaving.

I believe there are several phrases about this situation:

Don’t go away mad, just go away.

And the all time favorite

Well...... Bye.

Jerks to work on a newspaper’s “staff” are a dime a dozen. I don’t see the big deal here. Liberals are crybabies. Whining and throwing tantrums all the time. With the number of illegals Bidenskyyyyyyyy and Harriz have imported, filling these staff slots will be a snap.

You got that right. And it’s going to be really strange to have a “media” that will tell the truth all of the time.

I don’t think they will get a lot of cancellations. They already have lost all the conservatives and the rest of their customers are liberals or older people. Some older people can’t operate tablets or computers, or they have to read the obituaries. Then there are institutional subscribers like libraries and offices and starbucks locations. Most of them are not going to cancel.

Newspapers today have forgotten what business they are in. Today they think they are in the “news” business but really they are in the advertisement business.

“News” is just content, the product newspaper is selling is “eyeballs” which is why circulation matters. The higher the circulation (more subscriber) the more they can charge for ads. Newspaper subscription numbers have been on a downward trend for decades, it is only a matter of time before newspapers are no longer printed, but all content will be digital.

Then the question becomes will “newspapers” be able to compete with all the other content currently available on the internet. What do they offer the “reader” that they can not find elsewhere for free?

This is all hilarious and completely self inflicted.

But seriously nobody is going to miss any of the staffers who left. They were mostly highly paid seniors near retirement and will easily be replaced by cheaper talent.

The subscribers are all online and easily replaced as well - just run another $1 sale. It is all about eyeballs for the ads.

Bezos does not want to lose fed contracts when Trump wins.

‘Think newspapers control thought?

To put a noxious “Lincoln project” video into context, I needed to find what speech Hitler’s words came from.

So I searched just two words: “hitler speeches”.

Try it.

The Post editor-at-large Robert Kagan and opinion columnist Michele Norris publicly resigned in response to the non-endorsement, and a wave of subscription cancellations followed.

Journalists like this have such unrealistically inflated views of themselves and the impact of their so-called journalism. Who is going to lose sleep over the resignation. There certainly isn't a shortage of leftists who will do the jobs they've given up in protest. About the 'subscriptions'.......when you have only a pittance of subscribers, I guess a few cancellations can be considered 'a wave.'
