Yes, as a matter of fact I have seen this actual test from space. I was at the 5DSCS in Woomera Air Station, Australia and we Were part of the satellite sensor array monitoring it. Read my profile. I was in the Air Force at Cheyenne Mountain, then PAVE PAWS, and then Woomera. I was part of the NORAD defense forces, with the mission of missile tracking and detection.
The MX warheads you see here where part of the final test in June of 1983 and had special light reflecting paint to allow the observation of their precise impact.
Moreover, the much smaller Iranian conventional warhead is a pea compared to MX warheads.
They do not catch fire on there way down. These were destroyed and are falling blown up pieces.

When they go up into space they are above the atmosphere. Upon falling (at very fast, even supersonic speeds), the oxygen molecules in the atmosphere (which are NOT in space) causes friction, heat and fire. Most reentry vehicles don’t come straight down, but on a longer angle to slow the craft so it doesn’t explode on impact (and they use parachutes to further slow them once the air is thick enough). Even so, by the time a space object gets low enough to the surface, they may be cool enough to not glow. It depends on the material. Space capsules usually have ceramic shielding.
Those were pieces. They all had different velocities and angles of approach, as would particles that were separated by an explosion not far from where they were intercepted in the air. They weren’t glowing, they were burning.
The Iranian missiles altitude depends on several factors. Hitting Israel would only give the brief seconds of suborbital altitude. Not enough to make them burn a few hundred feet from the air close to impact.

I took another look at some of those falling —?—? A couple of them do seem to explode on impact. Whether that was a warhead or it hit something flammable on the ground can’t be determined from those videos.
