Robinson needs to reach out to RDS in Florida to get advice on how to handle this. Next, he needs to second guess every wrong decision that DC and the Dem governor are making and will continue to make.

If Robinson plays this right and works his tail off, he can win on the back of this catastrophe. Everyone in North Carolina is saying, there, if not for the the Grace of God…

We will never forget the iconic photo of Joe Biden visiting Chimney Rock North Carolina yesterday.

Good Mark Robinson. What the Democrats in NC did to you wasn’t right, but you can push back by working your tail off on the disaster relief in NC. It will get noticed.

I just read an official statement to the affect that "all roads" in western NC should be considered closed/impassable. Is it literally that bad? If so how long until communities can even be reached with aid?

I'm sure there are a lot of people stocked up and prepared, especially outside of towns, for a long wait. But in towns, if basic services are gone, and nothing can get in, how long until people become desperate or shoulder what they can carry and start trying to walk to find food/shelter/water? I'm concerned in a few days we may be treated to the first images in living memory of a tide of refugees walking along whats left of mudstrewn roads. In America.

I-40 West is closed. Many downed power lines and debris on the roads. There is one way out of Asheville by using I-26.

Much relief is being provided by private sources, and distributed by private Helicopter services. Even so, many have yet to be reached.
