“Compassionate” is throwing EVERY illegal over the border and cleaning out every last gang member from the US. Extra compassion points will be given if the gangs are cleaned out of Mexico to a depth of about 400 miles south of the border.
I'm not sure if Vance shares your definition of "compassionate." I fear he was signaling the opposite.
