So what I don’t understand is why does Lebanon not complain when their civilians also get killed?

They are all martyrs and are safely in Paradise - what’s to complain about?

I’m just guessing they are conflicted. They mostly don’t like Hezbullah but Hezbullah are strong and Iranian money props up the economy. You can’t, as a citizen, really object when Hezbullah tells you your apartment will be used to store weapons of war. Plus they pay for the room. So it helps, even though they know it’s dangerous, but objection could mean death, exile, ostracism. So they know it’s not a good situation there has just been no alternatives. Iran stepped into the power vacuum of a government that has been weakened by decades of war going back to 1973 and now are powerless against the strength of Hezbullah and Iran. If Hezbullah get decimated and Iran prevented from rearming and rebuilding, plus some serious Western effort, maybe the People can take charge of their country again. It is, actually, a constitutional democracy at least on paper.

Just my guess. And fwiw the Lebanese government does object but it’s sort of tepid and they don’t have much credibility outside of Lebanon. It’s practically a failed state.
