Obama Admin CIA director and Sec of Defense Leon Panetta accuses Israel of “terrorism” over Hezbollah pager attack.

Israel’s (alleged) attack was entirely within int’l law. Not sure same can be said about some of the things done under his watch at CIA and DoD.

Netanyahu said tonight in the cabinet: The purpose of the Israeli actions is to disconnect Hezbollah from the war with Hamas

[(Democrat) Obama Admin CIA director and Sec of Defense Leon Panetta accuses Israel of “terrorism” over Hezbollah pager attack.]

That sounds about right for Manchurian Candidate Barack Hussein Obama’s Leon Panetta

Just what we would expect him to say

Does he know Israel did the pager attack? Sure 99.8% of people think they did. But nobody admits it. But whomever did it, it may have been the most targeted attack on combatants in the history of war. 3000 combatants targeted; maybe a half dozen civilians who were in close proximity. You can’t get much better than that for such a wide scale attack. It was extremely targeted. And they are all combatants. Not civilians. In war you can target combatants anytime anywhere even if they are “off duty”. The fact they had the Hezbullah issued pagers pretty much proves they were combatants.

Anyway, every time Hezbullah fired rockets or missiles they give away the targeting information for the launchers - and maybe the weapons depots too. No doubt Israel has drones watching every movement of the launchers once they fire.

Israel has no choice but to bring the fight to Hezbullah. They cannot live with constant threat of missiles attacks on their cities It is great that Israel warned civilians to leave the area. No army in war I know of does such a thing. But Israel’s goal is to disable Hezbullah’s ability to wage war. They may or may not end up occupying some of south Lebanon but Israel has no desire to colonize it. They need to degrade them to such a degree that maybe, with enough will, the Lebanese military can come in and secure the area. The Lebanese government can only be blamed for being too weak. They may not have that excuse in a couple of months. Unfortunately Israel has to clean up first so that Lebanon can reassert control over their own territory and not let Iranian proxies dictate their foreign policy.

I wish this guy would use other platforms besides telegram.

If the pagers weren’t being used for Hezbo secure command and control, then what was the Iranian ambassador doing with one.

Also all the explosives in 3000 pagers was probably less than in one missile’s warhead.

The pagers were going to the command cadre of Hezbo.

Couldn’t happen to a nicer bunch of terrorists.

Hey Hezbo, I’m sure there’s a deal on Blackberry’s available to replace those pagers.

Occasionally, Panetta is actually sensible. This is not one of those times.
