Ryan Wesley Routh, the suspect in the latest apparent assassination attempt against Donald Trump, was found in a vantage point regularly used by news photographers.
On Sunday, Routh was arrested in connection with what the FBI said was an attempted assassination on the former President at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Routh reportedly camped out on the edge of Trump’s Florida golf course for nearly 12 hours with food and armed with an SKS-style rifle, before being confronted by one of Trump’s security detail.
A Secret Service agent saw Routh pointing a semi-automatic weapon through the bushes, and shot at him, causing him to flee the scene.
The FBI arrested Routh and recovered his alleged weapon and scope, two backpacks and a GoPro camera.
Now, according to reports by The Telegraph, Fox News, and The New York Post, the location where the alleged would-be assassin Routh spent up to 12 hours is a well-known vantage point frequently used by news photographers and paparazzi — raising new concerns about Trump’s security details.
Photographers are ‘Always Amazed How Close They Can Get to Trump’
News photographers are known to secure spots around the perimeter of the Trump International Golf Club to capture pictures of the former President and Republican nominee playing golf or driving around in a golf cart.

Yet there were no photographers there that day at that well-known location???
Amazon should offer ‘pager’ special at half price for Trump haters...
What was Routh’s plan to deal with photographers joining him there at the picture taking spot? Did he plan to shoot them too?
Did someone assure him that no photographers would be allowed to interrupt him doing his important work that day?
Seems like the risk of being interrupted by photographers would be huge.
I think the point is that this has been a vulnerability for a long time, and the photographers were aware of it - even discussing it among themselves. Being that this was a last minute, unscheduled outing, it’s not surprising that photographers didn’t show up.
“Did he plan to shoot them too?”
I was wondering that. What if a photog showed up at that popular location? What was he going to do.
I like that idea. “Go Retro, like it’s 1999! Special made Pagers, made in Taiwan. Made with YOU in mind, using recycled materials.
Buy now, while supplies last!”
just put out its own version of the iPhone 17.
It might be time for cross dressers and other sexual weirdos and misfits running the Secret Service to TALK TO PHOTOGRAPHERS... and other citizens who know more than they know... Which is most of us... local cops with a few months training, news photographers, citizens attending a rally shouting "there's someone on the roof and he's got a gun"... "People at the top - appointed by "Homeland is Commie" might be the problem.
That the point was well known to photographers might be what signaled Routh it was a good spot for a possible assassination.
Or Routh’s accomplice(s). I seriously doubt Routh planned the whole thing himself.
Exactly the question I would ask. So where were all these photographers that morning? Almost like they knew to stay away.
I wonder if the FBI was hosting a free breakfast for journalists that morning somehwere.
No...they didn’t want to get caught in their own trap
All they need is one platoon of the new Trump Volunteer Militia (TVM) to follow our President around. He will be AOK.
