Parents, wake up! If Harris wins, your kids will be drafted to fight in a foreign war
American Thinker ^ | September 18, 2024 | Patricia McCarthy

Our radicalized, leftist media is avoiding reporting on how close we may be to World War III, which could very well be nuclear.

The Biden/Harris administration provoked the war that rages on in Ukraine, the continuation of the Obama coup of 2014. Peace could have been negotiated before the current battles began, but no, our ever-powerful military-industrial complex wanted war.

It is how they all get fabulously wealthy.

Biden knew that threatening Putin with admitting Ukraine into NATO would be a line the Russian leader would see as a bridge too far. But Biden seemingly had no intention of actually welcoming Ukraine into NATO; it was a ruse to get the war going.

It would not have happened had Trump been in office. Now it drags on, perhaps as many as a million dead on both sides and for what? Sure, Blackrock plans to get even richer by rebuilding Ukraine but no one believes Ukraine can win. That was a no-brainer from the start.

Now the Biden/Harris administration has apparently approved Ukraine launching American-made missiles deep inside Russia, even Moscow!

This would be an irresponsible escalation. Do they actually want to start a nuclear war? It would seem so. And if this misbegotten war intensifies in that way, you can be sure, if Harris wins the election, that our young people will be drafted by the tens of thousands.

The House has not only voted to reinstate the draft, the Democrats want to draft women as well.

-

A vote for Harris is a vote for endless wars, here, there and everywhere. Why do you think the Cheneys have endorsed her? War is their business and business is good!

When did the last slave die, Matilda McCrear was kidnapped from West Africa at age two and enslaved in Alabama. She died in Selma in January 1940 at age 83—the last survivor of the Transatlantic Slave Trade. So no one qualifies, her kids were
born free.

Turkey is an ally, a member of our NATO military alliance, why would they be fighting us if Russia attacked them or their alliance?

What an amusing reply. “Spoiling for a fight?” Not at all. Merely curious. Are your for or against conscription?

I doubt that you are "merely curious." However: No one who does not wish to voluntarily serve in the military should be forced to do so.

However, their citizenship should be revoked.

What bulls***. The only one to blame for the invasion of Ukraine is Putin. The Maidan revolution was not an Obama coup. It was an uprising against a Ukrainian president who toadied up to Putin and violated his promises to those who elected him. The Ukrainian have agency. The didn’t need Obam or anyone else to get rid of a president and his cronies who were corrupt to the tune of 31 billion dollars. The Ukrainian people spoke and a Russian autocrat chose to attempt to destroy a people.

There was never any possibility of Ukraine joining NATO. Both France and Germany opposed it. Putin didn’t begin objecting to NATO until 2021. BY the end of Putin had convinced himself that Russia had the opportunity to safely launch a full-scale invasion of Ukraine to accomplish several distinct goals:

establish Russian control over Ukraine without facing significant Western resistance

break the unity of NATO.

bring 44 million people into the Russian empire to bolster fading Russian Slavic demographics

control or own Ukraine’s natural resources and agricultural sector

Stop blaming the rape victim.

Sadly, far too many accept Putin’s propaganda as fact.

What a load of crap.

We promised the Russians no eastward expansion back in early 1990s. That's a fact.

The Russians, pre-Putin opposed the expansion of NATO, especially to their borders.

--- "No one who does not wish to voluntarily serve in the military should be forced to do so. However, their citizenship should be revoked."

There is no law currently in the US and none among the European Union member states which would allow revocation of citizenship for such a stance as you suggest.

Article 2 of the Basic Law, posted on glass outside the Bundestag in a lovely display, states quite a different view than yours. See:

Articles 2,4 and specifically Article 12a (2).

"Any person who, on grounds of conscience, refuses to render military service involving the use of arms may be required to perform alternative service. The duration of alternative service shall not exceed that of military service. Details shall be regulated by a law, which shall not interfere with the freedom to make a decision in accordance with the dictates of conscience and which shall also provide for the possibility of alternative service not connected with units of the Armed Forces or of the Federal Border Police."

Even the new Naturalization Act 2024 is a far cry from your supposedly "libertarian" stance.

Your proposed revocation of citizenship is well outside any libertarian or Randian statements with which I am familiar. Such a "law" would not be allowed under German Basic Law, nor under the United States Constitution.

Correct. My terming myself a "Randian Libertarian" (a convenient label intended to provide a rough categorization) does not mean that I am incapable of holding some convictions running counter to traditional Randian Libertarianism. And I likewise understand that fact that that would not be allowed under current U.S. or German law.

It does not matter who is President, because I believe that large number of draftees would simply refuse to serve.
