Yesterday, Donald J. Trump nearly lost his life. An armed gunman waited for him in the bushes. He brought a go-pro camera to record it. A secret service agent spotted the barrel of a gun through a fence and shot at the gunman.

President Trump is my running mate, and my friend, but he is more importantly a father and grandfather to people who love him very much. I want him to have many more years with his family. (And selfishly, I'd like many more with my own.)

I admire the president for calling for peace and calm. The rhetoric is out of control. It nearly got Steve Scalise and many others killed a few years ago. It nearly got Donald Trump killed twice. But I want to say something about yesterday's news, and how it illuminates the difference between vigorous debate and violent rhetoric.

Here is what we know so far: Kamala Harris has said that "Democracy is on the line" in her race against President Trump. The gunman agreed, and used the exact same phrase. He had a Kamala Harris bumper sticker on his truck. He was obsessed with Ukraine's "fight for Democracy" and absorbed many unhinged views about the Russia-Ukraine war. HIs name is Ryan Routh, and he donated 19 times to Democrat causes and zero to Republican ones.

Oswald was also an amateur.

Though it’s rather interesting to juxtapose Routh’s history against Oswald’s...

It’s extraordinarily-dangerous

Between now and November

Should President Trump prevail (praying) it will be even more dangerous from November to January 20, 2025

If he had inside info from a confidant/traitor, he would NOT have had to wait 12 hours in the bushes with a rifle.

Just sayin’.

Though I concede reports outline that DJT’s presence there that day was not public knowledge.

But I also concede that we’re in the “flooded with good & bad info” phase as well.

I'd like to know if he had stalked Trump before from the same sniper position.

He did and on one occasion found a National Inquirer photographer was already using his favorite spot. /sarc

You're kidding, right? Assassins wait for days, weeks or a lifetime.

The guy (or his cell phone) apparently hid himself there in the middle of the night. Do you think he could have got a weapon and equipment into the bushes at noontime when Trump was already there?

I want to hear this psycho’s own story. You know he’s dying to tell it. How many times had he been there before, camped out and waiting for the time Trump was playing?

***Kamala Harris has said that “Democracy is on the line” in her race against President Trump.***

Article in the Daily Oklahoman from Sunday December 9th, 1951
“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the majority discovers it can vote itself largess out of the public treasury.
After that, the majority always votes for the candidate promising the most benefits with the result the democracy collapses because of the loose fiscal policy ensuing, always to be followed by a dictatorship, then a monarchy.”-Alexander Fraser Tytler
***
Since this was written in 1951, the inflation rate has gone up 1,110.75% due to loose fiscal policy.

“Do you think he could have got a weapon and equipment into the bushes at noontime when Trump was already there?”

You’re kidding, right?

We’re talking about the same “security” Trump had in Butler.

Could an assassin walk around the venue with a range finder for an hour and a half, shoot from the roof of a building housing “security” while crowds of people were screaming to “security” about the guy with a rifle on the roof?

With the “security” DC provides Trump, the shooter could have parked a tank in the bushes and had a good chance of getting a shot off. If the shooter hadn’t been stupid enough to keep poking his rifle through the fence for no reason, he would have killed Trump. The SS wasn’t ACTUALLY checking the perimeter, just a visual glance.

Trump needs to make himself far less visible and out in the open.

“The reason is simple. The logic of censorship leads directly to one place, for there is only one way to permanently silence a human being: put a bullet in his brain.”

Oswald had military training and was quite familiar with hitting long distance targets.

As this guy said shortly after the first assassination attempt, DJT is already sailing into history.

His political inheritors are already commencing the process of perpetuating the
just, uniquely Ametican cause he helped crystallize and unflappably championed, and is still bravely advancing.

Vance in real time is inspiring more Americans to do what he (Vance) has intelligently decided to do.
