The U.S. Navy commissioned a new submarine on Saturday, the first vessel in its fleet designed to fully integrate male and female sailors.
The USS New Jersey, a fast-attack Virginia-class submarine, was commissioned during a ceremony at Naval Weapons Station Earle in Middletown, New Jersey.
"You operate the most complex platform on the planet and you continuously strive for excellence," New Jersey’s commanding officer Cmdr. Steve Halle addressed the submarine’s crew during the ceremony. "I’m amazed and humbled at what we have accomplished."
"Our superior professionalism is enhanced by our crew integration and our diversity," Halle continued. "We have exceeded expectations at every turn and overcome every obstacle set before us."

Sorry, it makes and females together is trouble. Subs were the last to do this as you can imagine. You’re stuck in a tiny space for months and more. Especially today immoral people *****. She’ll get pregnant. At the very least the first 302 months or 3 she’ll feel woozy and sick a lot.
BTW, Virginia class is smaller than subs have been in a long time. I worked on them in the mid stages of design.
Yeah, this’ll work well. Cue Seinfeld.
They're not astronauts. They're ordinary sailors. So mixing both sexes on a ship beneath the sea is going to create unnecessary "drama" so it won't be as combat effective.
Heh! That went bye-bye with our Greatest Generation. Nice try, though. I'll remember this when Russia finally gets serious and flies their missles this next week.
[And these knuckleheads want a NUCLEAR war with Russia.]
“Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools”
Wait until they find out you don’t re-spawn like in Halo.
They’re much wiser than God and the Bible. That’s the wholte LGBTQ+ thing. It’s the 21st century. “We’re smarter and more educated!” they’ll say. “We’ve got this!!” they’ll say
Stop this insanity! We are on the verge of WW3 and THIS gender-neutral crap will strengthen our military HOW??? Where are the ADULTS in the room?!!!
I don't think it'll make a difference if they did this 80 years ago. People are human beings. There was a good reason we didn't do this back then. It was called "common sense".
Glad to be out of the military.
Yes, but emphasis that people are immoral the last 50 years and do it without a thought at all.
It’s always been stupid. Never mind if women are weaker, the fact they get pregnant is the #1 reason not to have them in any kind of combat, and preferably not in any kind of combat Mission Control either.
I say this as a woman, too, as well as a former sub engineer.
Hey, you may be onto something!
THAT is why they’re so hot to approve abortion pill! This way we can have our diversity without pregnancy too!
>> Stop this insanity! We are on the verge of WW3 and THIS gender-neutral crap will strengthen our military HOW???
I wonder how long before one of these faggot-and-transgender-and-woke submarine crews “votes” to drive the sub into Shanghai Harbor and hand over the keys to the Red Chinese.
I made five, 60+ day patrols on a boomer (USS Patrick Henry) back in the early 70s. The only way this would work would be if the girls were avowed lesbians. They did a study back then about putting women on submarines but decided it was a bad idea because the wives and girlfriends wouldn’t stand for it.
I guess now they don’t care what you think, “diversity and inclusion” is the only objective.
Men and women are human beings. Get them on a boat together. The result is the same. It's irrelevant if it was today or 50 years ago.
LOL!!!!
Perfect. It won’t take long for the rest of the Navy to call it that.
I retired from the US Navy at a very fortuitous time. Before they put women on ships and just in time to avoid having Bill Clinton sign my retirement certificate.
USS Rough Trade.
I took that into consideration when I said pregnancies instead of births.
If the goal of a nuclear-powered fast attack submarine is to sail underwater around the world defending the country, just think of all the time and money the Navy will have to spend on this social experiment instead of training, missiles, torpedoes, etc. things that might help actually defend the country.
